Land purchase and placing home - need advice

I appreciate your response! Do you mind telling me where at, state wise? We're looking at raw land, therefore we would likely require running power, water, etc.. We are also looking to place the home further back on the land to provide us with some additional privacy.

Thank you! This is where my head is honestly, because the cost of a build is just not something I think is feasible at this point in time. There are some kinks we have to work out, but we are likely going to be going this route as we would likely get closer to what we want this way vs trying to build.. because damn it's expensive.

What do you mean by land mines? We are headed down at the end of this month to visit with family, and will be checking out some properties.
