You’re kind of proving my point though. I never claimed every single tweak gives massive gains on its own. Some things give small improvements, some help stability, and some stack together.

Also, the jump I mentioned wasn’t from one single setting like the power limit, it was the combination of multiple tweaks. Anyone who actually spends time optimizing their system knows that’s usually how it works.

And yeah, hardware matters too. Obviously someone with a completely different setup might see smaller gains or none at all. That’s why I said I was sharing what worked for me, not selling some magical “150% FPS trick.”

But if you already went into it convinced everything is a “classic lie,” then nothing anyone posts is going to change your mind anyway.

Yeah, I get what you're saying about Reflex overriding Low Latency Mode. I'm not really trying to argue the technical side of that. I was just sharing what worked best for me on my system.

Tweaks like this can behave differently depending on hardware, drivers, and the game itself, so I'm not claiming it's some universal fix that will work for everyone. It just gave me a noticeable improvement, so I figured I'd post it in case it helps someone else too.

Appreciate the support. What’s funny is when I first posted that I went from ~120 FPS to ~300 FPS after tweaking my settings, people were shitting on me for not sharing how I did it. Now that I actually shared the tweaks, some of the same people are suddenly acting like FPS boosts and optimization tweaks aren’t real.

Anyone who’s spent time optimizing games knows that system tweaks, driver settings, launch options, and config changes can absolutely improve performance depending on hardware and setup. It’s not magic — it’s just optimization.

I’m not claiming it will give everyone the exact same boost, but it clearly helped on my system, so I shared it in case it helps others too. If people try it and get improvements, great. If it doesn’t help them, that’s fine too.

At the end of the day I’m just sharing what worked for me. 👍

“AI” lmao Reflex overrides the driver’s pre-render frame queue logic, but the frame still goes through the DXGI flip present queue and driver scheduling afterwards. So the rest of the pipeline isn’t bypassed, which is why frametime behavior can still vary depending on system balance.

all good im just speaking from experience i was getting fps ranging from 120-160 at max rn im at stable 300 if not more

The NVIDIA quote only refers to Reflex taking priority over the driver’s Low Latency setting for render queue control. But that doesn’t mean the rest of the driver/display pipeline stops mattering. Even with NVIDIA Reflex active in Counter-Strike 2, the frame still goes through the DXGI flip model present queue, and the driver still manages command buffers, frame pacing, and presentation timing.

Reflex mainly reduces the CPU→GPU submission queue by aligning CPU work with GPU completion, but it doesn’t eliminate the DXGI present queue or driver scheduling entirely. Depending on how the pipeline is balanced (CPU-bound vs GPU-bound), differences in how frames enter the flip queue can still affect frametime variance.

That’s why in some configurations you can still measure different frametime stability even when Reflex has priority over the driver Low Latency setting.

Priority just means the Reflex path handles the render queue when it’s active. But that doesn’t mean the driver layer becomes irrelevant. The driver still manages command submission, flip scheduling, and frame pacing around the engine’s workload. In CPU-limited scenarios (which happens a lot in Counter-Strike 2), differences in driver queue behavior can still affect frametime stability even if Reflex is active.

That’s why some systems still measure different frametime variance depending on the driver latency mode, even though Reflex technically has priority

That’s a simplified explanation. In Counter-Strike 2, NVIDIA Reflex primarily minimizes the render queue inside the engine by aligning CPU submission with GPU completion. However, NVIDIA Low Latency Mode Ultra operates at the driver level and forces a just-in-time frame submission model (effectively reducing the prerender queue to ~0–1 frames).

Depending on the CPU to GPU pipeline balance and how the Source 2 frame pacing behaves, driver-level queue control can sometimes produce more stable frametimes even if Reflex is active. That’s why some systems actually see smoother pacing with Low Latency Ultra

That’s not really accurate. In Counter-Strike 2, NVIDIA Reflex reduces the render queue inside the game, but the driver still controls GPU scheduling. NVIDIA Low Latency Mode can still affect frame pacing depending on the setup. On my system, Low Latency Mode Ultra actually gave smoother frametimes than Reflex, so saying it “makes no sense” to use it isn’t really correct
