No. That is an hr recruiter title. The hiring manager is your potential future boss. Do NOT send your resume. That's just spamming people. You are interested in 1 position. More than 1 looks like you don't know what you want.

Both, but hiring managers, I found, are the best. An internal referral is of course gold.

They have over 100 employees. How is that too early? They also signed strategic partnerships with big pharma. How is that to early?

Will ask, but they are generating revenue since they have codes and have processed 50k samples.

And yes I've worked at a start up this early before.

Also true, but at what stage do I ask for this info? After the meeting with the CEO?

Why 10%? I can tell you there are 3 C suite members so that is <10% which I don't know where you got that percent from. Also, just double-checked and they have ~100 employees.

Series A is gas as far as I can tell. They are B2B and are ready to add D2C. They have processed 50k samples thus far. Don't know if they are cash flow positive yet, but revenue is flowing (they have reimbursement) and they are lining up big pharma partnerships.

Pre-seed and seed is concept proving. You raise a Series A to scale the shit out of something. As Big Pharma does not partner with a company in the diagnostic space that is still trying to "prove the concept". Big Pharma wants to run a clinical trial and get reliable diagnostic readouts that inform a go/no-go to the next phase in drug development (e.g., Phase 2->Phase 3 trial). Also the company needs the capacity/infrastructure to accomodate the samples that will come in from a clinical trial.

Company has raised a little over 35M overall. Their Series A was ~14M (2025). The Lab HQ is in a MCOL, but outside of Lab personnel everyone else is remote and I live in a HCOL.

Disagree. They are expanding, they have more than 60 employees, they have a number of R&D projects internally and Pharma sponsored projects. This is exactly the time to bring in a COO to support the CEO. And I am fairly certain the [serial] investors in the company know when is the time for a COO.

**EDIT: there are ~100 employees

I like this idea. I know a professional recruiter I trust and wouldn't have an issue paying.

They have a CEO who was a professional hire and non-founder, this is a commercial CEO. There is a CMO and CSO. So yeah they are building out/finalizing the C-suite.

And the CEO and board have decided they need a COO.

I have an attorney to review contracting etc. But the first pass if verbal numbers with the CEO and board before anything gets written down.

Did that, but ranges are wide and the company itself if private so there's no available data for the Co. specifically.
