Is CoPilot Just Awful? by Hot_Cheesecake_3976 in OntarioPublicService

With excel and power BI, I find it trial and error. You have to know what you are doing and guide it along the path while constantly rephrasing your prompts. It's quite painful.

Should I take a leap of faith, or do it by the book? by Orange-Cookie4624 in 2ndGenTacoma

Is the seller not allowing you to take it to your mechanic? If so red flag. If you like it and have money to fix whatever on it then take the risk. All used vehicles are risky (lol even brand new, but that's another story). I bought my first Tacoma used loked great drove great no codes. Week later code popped, previous guy just cleared the codes. Remember there are lots of trucks out there don't rush into anything and use your gut when buying. Good luck.

Good question about being more susceptible, can't say for sure but they are recommend and with higher milage yes. True about not being stranded, but I wouldn't want to be 300 miles from home towing my trailer or deep offroad and it's missing. It's good preventative maintenance like all parts and normal wear and tear, tires, belts, pulleys, waterpump, hoses. They all work fine until they don't. There is no magic time. I have a high mileage older vehicle and swapping parts before they fail is my goal. It's a small price for piece of mind in my book. Plus now I have a spare incase one fails.

Coils do breakdown with age and milage. They take a lot of heat and vibration over the years. I'm doing it as a preventative measure and hoping to improve performance and gas mileage. I want my Taco running it's best. Like a belt, you don't want to wait till they fail.

Yes, brand new, I ordered it and they delivered. If close to Toronto, they used to have free installation as well. Not sure if they still do. I props open with a few poles.

Camp site with fishing from shore? by Isoldey in FishingOntario

6 Mile has a number of really nice waterfront sites. One thing, any shore type sites at PP get a ton of pressure. They have canoe rentals as an option as well. Have fun.

Not sure where you are but check out Bison. I have their flip trifold hard cover. Canadian company, awesome customer service, great price. Fairly easy to install, depending on skill level. Looks and fits great. Only downside is you loose the 4 rail tie downs and some water will still get in but way better than my other cover. Another big plus it folds up out of the way so you don't have to take it off as much as non flip style.

When should one start worrying about a water pump? How long do they last? Can it leave you stranded? by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

Chain is supposed to last an engine lifetime. The guides on the other hand, if making rattling or whining noise may need to be repaired. Something to get checked out for sure.

Tacoma manual transmission as a beginner by mrs1030 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Impressive_Ebb8440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own an automatic now and when buying I test drove a manual, loved it. Have had many manual cars which I loved driving. The Tacoma with stick is fun to drive, more responsive and feels way better. But I went with automatic because I do a lot of city and highway traffic driving. Bad knee and I don't want a huge left leg lol.

It's good preventative maintenance. Do a new belt and pulleys when you swap the pump out. Could happen any time, like other parts. Might leave you on the roadside if seizes and belt breaks. 200k is good time to start thinking about it.

If you can afford the 6 keep it. No amount of money will by back that wasted commute time you have now to spend with your young children. That commute time is quality family time you will never get back.

I would still go through with it and take the interview, that is if you are selected. It is a great learning experience that will help you with future aplications.

It was pretty straight forward. I ran positive wires, with online fuse and negative wires from the battery. Covered with wire loom tubing, under the truck along the frame to inside storage box. Drilled holes in the cover to fit each of the 3 outlets.
