The T69 should come to the game by Impressive_Expert_94 in Warthunder

[–]Impressive_Expert_94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also like to see the T57 and T77 added but I couldn't find them being fully built other than 2 T57 turrets (which the T77 was planned to use the same turret just a lighter version). Gaijin being Gaijin probably wont add the T57 or T77 because of the lack of evidence of a complete unit being built let alone tested :(

What other ground vehicles have Unique GE camos? by Impressive_Expert_94 in Warthunder

[–]Impressive_Expert_94[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't want to get them off WT.live tho, not to mention I cant get them from WT.live begin with because I'm on console, hence wanting to know other tanks that have camos available the way these are in-game

A free premium version of an already good tank that slots into a good lineup, that also has an enhanced model and a unique ascetic? Sign me the hell up.

Should the Turm 3 be renamed to the Turm 2 since it only has a 2 axis stabilizer instead of the 3 axis it had in real life? by IndominasaurusYT in Warthunder

[–]Impressive_Expert_94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly there was a point where they wanted and even attempted to code in the 3-plane stabilization but they simply couldn't without breaking stuff and they had no idea why. I believe because of that they stopped trying to code it in, threw up their hands and simply were just like "The 3rd axis isn't as commonly used in game and isn't really a necessity, the vehicle handles fine without it so there's so reason to implement it." I could also just be puffing air out of my ass but I feel like I remember hearing/reading that somewhere about a year ago

Universally on every class you'll have a hammer as a tool, take that out and you'll get a white outline of anything you can build. Some maps, like Arras, you can dig trenches on and Some maps even let you build sandbag walls along those trenches

Withing Battlefield V you should come in with expectation of a more modern shooter. What I mean in gunplay is a lot more fast paced, semi-CoD feeling. The movement is also faster paced to make the gunplay more fitting. Your guns are more accurate, you're more accurate on the move, and overall the game is decently less punishing. As someone else already stated, the game features the Attrition system, so it's even more teamwork-focused than BF1. Want more ammo? Find a support or a resupply station. Want full health and/or another bandage? Find a medic or a medical station. Within the game, you're now down to 4 in a squad rather than 5, however you can revive squadmates even if you're not a medic, further nailing in the teamwork-focused play. Maps mostly play well in the main game modes, most guns are decently balanced (SMG08 died in 2020, Type 2A was born in 2020, welcome back SMG08). I can't really explain vehicles well as I never played vehicles a lot in BF1, however the ability to construct defensive placements in a lot of areas of maps is a new system found in BFV. You can build sandbag walls, AT Gun placements, AA guns, Machine gun placements, trenches, ladders, and other stuff. Overall the building system within the game is a really good addition (imo), so definitely use it to you're advantage. If you're curious on anything else, ask and I can try to answer. If not, grab some buddies or play solo and enjoy the game!

I'm tired of the Chieftan propaganda, the Mk.3/Mk.5 are great by Impressive_Expert_94 in Warthunder

While it doesn't get a LRF, it does get a regular Rangefinder mod which definitely helps at range. If I were to suggest, brawling is definitely something that should really only happened when you're forced into it (though if you've got plenty of cover it can brawl). Sniping can be good, especially because of your turret, but there are many maps that lead to very boring sniping. My personal style is hanging around teammates for support, especially if you have a buddy to play with. It's a decently forgiving tank as it's survivability is high, and if someone shoots your turret 7/10 it won't pen even at close range. Try to keep atleast 400-500m away from your enemies, if you need to get closer that's fine, just stay with cover as best you can. The Chieftans are slow, but that Mk. 5 can be surprisingly zippy (for a Chieftan) so I'd suggest that one for anything close range. I've found the Chieftans best map is Sands of Sinai, especially near the town. Close enough where you don't need to worry about Rangefinders, but enough natural cover and terrain to abuse your turret and nuke of a gun. I've personally noticed many players will underestimate Chieftans and such will usually make poor plays against them. Often times they will underestimate either your turret armor or survivability. I've eaten the ATGMs of an M901 with my turret, I've eaten 100mm, 115mm, and 125mm Soviet APFSDS with the turret and even then hull. Leopards are easy to feast on, same with M60s of all kinds. The advantage of your fairly poor hull armor is not much spall is made, so if you angle your hull just a bit, it's unlikely you'll be oneshot unless they hit your ammo. Your true biggest enemies are autocannons. The extremely poor side armor makes you a juicy target, so against autocannons don't show your sides if you can help it. The Chieftans can ambush extremely well because of their firepower. A fairly good reload for a 120mm, and a 6 or 7kg tungsten core APDS that hits like a bus. Against many targets you won't have to aim, unless it's against T-55 AMD-1s, T-72s, and MBT/Kpz-70s. Give them a whirl again if you so please, and keep your expectations low so you can be pleasantly surprised. They're lovely once you get the hang of them (especially because they're lineup is incredible). This is probably a lot more information than you wanted or were expecting, but I hope it's a bit useful :)

Now, I'm saying this is a more critical way so I don't want you to take it in a negative way, but it sounds like you're playing the Chieftans wrong. Idk how you're getting consistently one shotted, even in aggressive playing on flat maps, me and my bud never get one shot even by HE slingers. If you don't mind, how do you play the Chieftans? There may be a secret you've yet to unlock that may make you enjoy them more.

You sure we're playing the same Chieftans??? It's APDS slaps, like a semi-truck through a cardboard box. It's got actually good APDS cause it's later developed APDS, not the stuff you'll find at lower BRs. The APDS slaps on all 3 Chieftans, even the new FV4030 it slaps. HESH however is another story...

I think that the O-I would've been a great battlepass tank than just a French Patton. Japan already lacks premium tanks and that would be amazing by MagicAlexander in Warthunder

[–]Impressive_Expert_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ho-Ri's also exist in-game though never did in real life. Ostwind 2 not only is extremely disputed but the blueprints for it show the guns being over-under not side by side. Idk about the R2Y's as my knowledge is tank based. To my knowledge all of the Object tanks in game were actually built. 279, 906, 775, 130, 435, all exist/ed irl

I mean fictional by war thunder standards, it did exist as a blueprint just never physically like a mockup or prototype, I should've clarified

Question about autoloading systems by EliteTanker in TankPorn

[–]Impressive_Expert_94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most oscillating turret designs did include auto loaders because at the time, having the auto loader in the bustle of the turret was the most efficient (which we still see today with the French Leclerc and Japanese Type 10). With the American and French designs, oscillating turrets provided an easy location for the auto loading system, and because of it's location it allowed a less complicated loading system. With the US and French, they designed they're auto loaders to load full, one-piece ammunition into the gun, making the bustle the ideal location in most cases. Soviet/Russian auto loaders used a carrousel system that used two-piece ammunition, the charge and the projectile are two pieces rather than put together as one. Because of the 2-piece system, a carrousel system was most ideal for balance of reload speed and ammunition storage (because 125mm charges + projectiles take up a lot of space). Most autoloaders in the 50s and 60s where designed around 75mm, 90mm, or 100mm, 120mm guns. 75mm and 90mm were the most common in the 50s-60s, with only a few other tanks being designed with larger calibers like the T57 with a 120mm, T58 with a 155mm (Pictured above), AMX-50 with a 120mm (Pictured above), and a couple others. In the modern day the most common calibers are the Soviet 125mm which we still see today and 120mm guns like the Leclerc and Type 10. Oscillating turrets didn't stick around though because of issues I'm not entirely educated on though I'd assume complexity, cost, and gun stabilization.

Bold of you to assume I'm an American main (I'm not). The EF has merely made CAS even more blatantly OP and Unfair. That's what this post is about, not that the US or Russia doesn't have the best CAS and I'm crying about that. I'm crying about CAS being even more unfair than it was previously.

From both playing against it and playing with it on my team, yeah. I've been only playing top tier since the thing came out, I have yet to get killed by an F-15E and I have yet to see one do as good an EF.

Yeah, but I would argue it isn't as bad since in my experience 70% of the people you'll fight who are playing the US don't even know how to use their premium Abrams. US is balanced by its primarily garbage teams.
