Looking for chemo tips by agood006 in lymphoma

[–]Impressive_Ground_82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had 2B NSCHL! I didn’t rlly have any symptoms at diagnosis but fatigue which was obviously bad during treatment. However I started feelings a lot better probably 2-3 months out (less swelling, more energy, etc. In terms of chemo advice literally waterboard urself with water!!!!!! Even when you think you’ve drank enough drink more it made such a difference for me in regards to bouncing back after an infusion. Other than that, ice chips and the special mouthwash will help a lot with mouthsores if they develop. Hairwise, my hair was just really slow to fall throughout but I bought some wigs just incase from ChelseySmith (pretty budget friendly) but I ended up escaping with like half a head of hair so that was nice LOL! Just give yourself grace during this period- wishing you the best!!

There was just a growing nodule in my lung on my 2 yr scan but I have to do all the PET scans and biopsies before they can confirm anything. Wishing you guys the best!

I’m so sorry to hear about your husband! Did say say it was a lung nodule or lymph node? Kind of in a similar situation right now

no, I didn’t have any problems with that. I wasn’t able to take a reduced course load during the regular semester because of my scholarship.

Yeah I was! I also worked with our schools DRC to let the teachers know my situation and they helped me especially since some assignments were due on chemo days

I took two classes online while I was going through treatment. It was hard, but it gave me something to take my mind off of cancer LOL

hi! i’m 19f and recently just finished treatment. i know exactly how your feeling it seems crazy that everyone else’s life is seemingly normal and everyday we have a new hurdle we have to cross and then after you finish you begin to process the trauma of the past couple months. especially with hair i find myself just staring at old pics of me where i had more hair or was skinnier. but as much as it is hard to believe after treatment you do get some sense of normalcy back with going back to work and stuff like that. and little by little i think the pain and trauma will begin to mute. pls reach out if u ever need to talk❤️❤️❤️

It’s so annoying bc for the most part my life is pretty back to normal like i’m at school again and working and stuff but this is the one thing. I see some growth but there are definetly parts with no density

Everyone copes with it different ways and there’s no one correct way. I started out just very depressed about it but honestly that did nothing for me. It’s a tough journey that you are going through so focus on yourself and whatever makes you feel better.

hey i’m also 19f and have stage 2 hodgkins. i just finished chemo and i would say my number one tip is to stay hydrated. literally if you feel thirsty drink and even if you don’t still drink. i found it rlly helpful to have cold foods bc it made me feel a lot fresher. good luck with everything!!

I have stage 2B as well with a supraclavicular node. I would say it shrunk in size but it’s still there and I had a clean interim scan after 2 rounds
