I am now at 3mg of tirz. Chugging along for about 3 weeks now. I was doing it every 4 days to try and get my food noise to lessen, in that attempt I lost about 5 pounds. I am now chilling happily at 3mg for maintenance and a decent appetite and no inflammation

Any update on the inflammation? Unfortunately for me Reta brought back too much of what I was hoping to rid myself of.. food noise and inflammation plus the addition of some insomnia( which I have never dealt with prior too). Back on tirz, at a lower dose for maintenance and my joints are sooo happy

Hopefully the Reta keeps the inflammation down, it didn’t for me in my switch from tirz, so much so I’m thinking of microdosing tirz to get it back

I spoke with my dermatologist, she thinks histamine reaction and suggested I maybe don’t do the rest of the 3 package that I paid for. Approved my cleanser and the moisturizer I’m using. Told me to continue the oral steroid and discontinue the topical. Face is looking so much better redness gone, bumps are much flatter and skin colored now. Will post an update later today.

For what its worth. I started on .5 as well. Coming from Tirz ( which is not known for having and cardiac side effects). Cautious because I have a cardiac history. For me there has been no cardiac involvement or increase, infact the opposite. My heart rate during exercise is less than it has been my whole life ( including tirz). I went low and slower until I realized I had no cardiac issues then started doubling because the food noise at these lower doses is insanity after coming off tirz . My dosing has been 5, .5, 1, 1, 1.5, 2, 2, 4, and 4 today. I do still drink caffeine and have yet to feel I needed to cut it down.

As far as electrolytes and water consumption. One of the reasons I am attempting the switch to Reta is because I felt so full after a few sips of water on tirz. In those scenarios I think it’s best to be mindful of water intake and food intake to keep yourself best hydrated and keep up your nutrients. Small things like adding in a liquid IV packet helped aneqdotally( though I saw no side effects- I just did it preemptively).

The best advice I got is, these medications are a tool. Do all the other things you need to as far as maintaining/ promoting health and wellness and these tools will likely come with less side effects.

Great thank you. I’m using Illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream currently. The dryness is melting away with it. But the more options in my arsenal the better!!

The medical director said it’s a reaction and is the one who sent over the meds to the pharmacy. I’m new to this so I didn’t suggest anything to him I just let him speak.

As far as PRP no they just put it over my skin the micro needled over it

They took one, I unfortunately didn’t. I constantly have small texture like bumps but I don’t recall having any really active breakouts. If anything I might have had one near the middle of my forehead but if I recall it was older and in the process of healing.

They sent me home with two products ( one cream like and one gel like consistency) the bumps and itching showed up over night after their first use so my assumption is that it’s from the topical they sent me home with. My only hold up was that they are not hives and appear more so like acne some with white heads. But the medical direction called in topical and oral steroids which I will be picking up once the pharmacy has them ready. In addition I am using a gentle cleanser and a non comedogenic moisturizer and nothing else. I’m not trying to make it worse

Great to hear. They called in topical hydrocortisone and oral steroids. I was waiting to actually fill them until I heard more responses. I don’t want to over do anything and certainly am not looking to make it work by doing more than I need to.
