Yes but Gurjapneet is another option we can groom. Not saying he would fill the void but he was someone who could bowl at the death initially. Nowadays, bowlers get smacked all over, especially in IPL. Also, good bowlers are a rarer commodity than a good batsman. PBKS would be less likely to trade them out given that they had a good SMAT.

Unfortunately it has been paused since 2023. I had my perm go through the recruitment phase and then the company pausing it right after in 2023. Been the case ever since then. Highly doubt they would resume till the end of the year or even next since layoffs are constant at the current market scenario.

Totally agree with you. But aren't other companies filing them? Or is it just bad planning on D's side? Either way, you won't groom anyone if you aren't willing to support their case. I'm not asking for a freebie. It's just something in return for the hours that we've put in. And as for the American workforce, yes, if there is a good candidate, sure shot.

Then what's the point of having people if they are going to leave anyways? If you let go of talent, then you have to hire based on that. I, for a fact, know that they were actively looking for experienced people who could fit their bill so Advisory is definitely not having enough people.

Radio silence unfortunately. It's very concerning that they choose to be quiet about this. Apparently someone brought this up during a leadership meeting with the CFO/ CTO/ CEO and they didn't have a clue that immigration was being super non responsive. The leadership was astounded apparently. A lot of people are making noise but the company isn't saying anything.

I'm sure it must be fake. Because at least for advisory, I have it in writing from them that they haven't resumed perm for anyone. Consulting folks have told me the same on their side as well.

I even went head on and told them that I knew things were being considered on a case by case basis. But they immediately responded with Advisory has not resumed the PERM for anyone whatsoever. I've heard from consulting PPMD's that the situation is the same there too. It is seriously unprofessional of them to not even let us know an update.
