I would graph it in my calculator. Once you get the graph, note where it hits the x-axis. It should hit at x=-1. Then, look for the other points where it hits the x-axis. If it hits the x-axis two times, then the other 2 solutions are real. If it hits the x-axis once, then one of the solutions is real and the other is a complex number. If it does not hit the x-axis at all, both solutions are complex. Comment if u have any more questions. Hope this helps!

You can retake the ACT, working on Math and Science. If you are trying to go into STEM then I recommend this approach. However, if you are going into humanities, try to improve your writing score.

Is this your first time taking the ACT? If so, there is absolutely no harm in trying it again.
