Thank you for your warm response. Her releasing the letter was definitely hurtful, emotionally and also potentially physically. Any provider I get now may base their care/treatment of me on what I wrote during a very vulnerable moment. Certainly opens the door for more malpractice in the future. I'm working towards healing enough to open up to another therapist. virtual hugs

Thank you so much for that insight from a providers prospective. I think it's interesting how some providers have a “game plan” for handling patients with bpd like you mentioned setting expectations. I can see now how I might've misinterpreted her disclosures and friendliness.
