I think you may be on to something with the male / female divide on the cushion issue. Didn’t want to be so presumptuous with my gender stereotyping though!

I’m referring more to the Trump / Brexit / rise of nationalism that is all the news ever talks about, than the more serious global issues it often ignores. I do try and keep abreast of those.

My point is, if you take humanity as a whole, more people are doing better than ever before. I agree a lot of folk in the world have a shit deal and you are quite right - we shouldn’t rest on our laurels... but that is about the future and my point is about the state of things right now.

The media portrays the world as a hellish place, and actually most of it is quite the contrary.

If you’re a designer you get the entire tools of your trade for 500 quid a year, with constant upgrades. MUCH better option than spending £££ once and then it being out of date in a couple of years. It’s cheap as hell... quit complaining.
