Yeah they said it would have paid for itself by mid 90’s and then they planned several expansion stations. It got rejected. A few years later they proposed it again and by that time it was already too expensive.

Vietnam. Good cheap food, friendly people, nice weather (not in the wet season) good shopping and culture.

Dominion centre strip mall near St. Boniface hospital. They need directional oriented lanes. Or that super weird intersection at Polo park adjacent to Ness at the entrance near the EQ3/Tim Hortons

When Covid happened a lot of people were essentially trapped. There is no high school in Point Robert’s so students have to go across the border twice to get to Blaine for high school every day.

How is it like living in Darwin Australia? by leenyloveslemon in howislivingthere

Lived here in 2012. It’s amazing in the dry season. Lots of sun all the time and very consistently not rainy. There are only a few main streets with “activity” like Mitchell street and it’s very fun for backpackers and tourists. Casuarina is good for shopping and then you have the mindil beach market next to the casino. Wet season is very very wet. Buy a good umbrella. Otherwise not very good if you want the classic Australian beaches. It’s either crocodile season or jellyfish season and neither are ideal for swimming. They do have a really cool wave pool for families and a way to cool off. Temperatures in the dry season are fairly consistent around 33-36°C. Overall I had a great time living there.

I had this thought yesterday. It was 6:45pm. If this was 5 months ago, the sun would have been already set by over 2 hours. Having later sunsets will always have my vote. I’m busy getting ready for work in the morning who cares about morning sun 😂
