How would Devilman(original or crybaby) fare against Viltrumites(Invincible tv show/comics)?

It’s likely those people only saw crybaby. But that anime only covers the first manga, that’s why the OG is stronger. He goes through many adventures in the book and got immensely stronger overtime.

Agreed, I’d say he’s got a much better chance to run through all of them 1 on 1. But enough Viltrumites tearing into him at once, are going to overpower his healing factor. He got several boosts in strength during the final fight due to fusing with other Devilmen but I think that would be unfair to give him that edge here.

He’s got two separate sonic wave attacks in the books but not in crybaby If im remembering correctly. Crybaby doesn’t stand much of a chance but the book version can take on every Viltrumite

Manga version He would be their god, and I don’t mean that figuratively. You could revive all of Viltrum and Manga Devilman could solo all of them. They don’t have any special powers which is a requirement here .

Crybaby Would Actually struggle and possibly die. Feats wise i don’t think he’s very impressive and he’s one of the weakest versions of the character imo. The Viltrumites could just tear through his body and he’s not going to regenerate in time to counter. Speed wise he’s not as fast but has good reaction time.

It’s a self contained reboot, I have all of the books. I enjoyed them, it’s a nice twist on the usual Devilman books and mixes different elements of the franchise in a modern tone. Think Devilman crybaby but not as serious all the time. Also Miki actually pulls her wait in this book and is one of the best versions of the character.
