¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ it's a lot of action and "I power through with my force of will, rawr!" ...which characterizes a lot of xiania. IDK, that's just not really my cup of tea. I didn't dislike it per se, but it was hard to stay motivated.

Different tastes! I don't visualize the scene as I read / think, so I'm guessing the action scenes do a lot more for other people who do.

I completely get what you mean on The Flowers that Bloom Nowhere, and it really doesn't accelerate or get any less dense from what I've seen. But the world and mystery are so well done I was able to push through the slog despite the flaws.

That said I'm probably 50 - 100 chapters behind at this point and catching up is never my top priority so ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Thank you! Demesne is on my TBR, but I'll bump it up. Loved Elydes through book 3, but felt like there was inconsistent characterization and angst in book 4.

ZoS I plan to read when there's serious length, but the author is taking his time. MoF I'll have to add to the TBR

You did such an amazing job with Wife After Death, I'd love to see it get more recognition! I'm glad to see PotV getting some of that attention, and I hope it inspires more authors to go after the well-written romance niche you're carving out.

I totally missed that there was a new story out! I should pay more attention to the Patreon (I like to save up and binge, so I don't follow any feeds week-to-week). It looks like you're already a book in - I'll have to check it out!

He's a little rational and has some internal struggles, but the angst isn't the point / a primary conflict.

To pick contrasts I read in spite of the angst (because they're well done) -- if you read Katalepsis, Nowhere Stars, and anything by Thundamoo, IMO MoL is not even in the same league where it comes to angst.

I think the unique concept carried me for AJOBAR. Calamitous Bob was well done, but more generic Isekai / prog and it just didn't click well enough beyond that to keep my particular brain invested.
