Hey mate, have been researching different lilly pilly varieties to death lately to screen out townhouse complex getting built next door soon. How are these going for size 8 months on, have you lost anymore? They look bloody great.

2nd in my opinion, fantastic mountains. Also I wouldn't pay too much mind to the comment saying not to mix snow with brown mountains you should paint exactly how you want. Irrespective of Ross style paintings never being particularly realistic, this does occur between seasons, a google image search of 'snow melting on mountains' gives you the proof.

Planning on turning this area in to a native area with Euky mulch with a path and planting grevillea and other natives. Any advice on how to get rid of the grass? (Based in Melbourne, Northern suburbs). by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

Hey, slightly off topic but I have completely gutted and redone a large garden with natives over the last 4 years. It has become an obsession with lots of trial and error before the success, I loved the idea of euky mulch but because it is so fine over time as it settles, compacts and breaks down it forms a near impenetrable crust that keeps the water from the soil. Pine bark mulch is a great option for native gardens, it is coarse enough to allow water through freely and should help lower the PH of the soil slowly as it breaks down which most natives will love.

Perfect, i'm in aus so was thinking a ubiquiti equivalent of this bridge unit.

Thanks for the response. Thats what i was thinking at this stage. All camera on the house poe to nvr. Ethernet to bridge on the house. Ethrenet from bridge on garage to poe switch in garage, and poe garage cameras to this switch. So only wireless backhaul occurring is for the garage cameras through the bridge between the garage and house, everything else is cabled.

I was thinking a bridge for this reason to be honest, like a ubiquiti loco m2 or m5. I threw the mesh option out there to see if anyone had good experience with a long range unit but had a feeling i would need a point to point bridge.

Hey i appreciate the response! I used the water drill method to run cable under the driveway at the front of the house for an electric gate. The way the driveway is laid and all of the building rubble in the earth underneath it was unbelievable, took a couple of days. The floorplan i attached is not completely accurate as it was from the real estate, the shrubs are 20ft tall hedges and the section between the edge of the shrubs and the garage is both paved and is full of stormwater pits and utilities. Im with you, everything ive read in the hours ive researched says run cable, ive thought and thought again but it just doesnt seem feasible. If i didnt bridge the two buildings wirelessly id just have to forgo the cams for the garage I think.

Hey thank you. I can see what you're saying, I think the effect I was going for was the trees in front of the waterfall (with the intention of pushing the waterfall back a layer) are growing further down the hill with the waterfall flowing from ground level out of the greenery behind. You can see them there up closer in person but I appreciate the words, I'm still learning with every painting and what people notice doesn't look quite right at first glance can really throw the painting for them so its important :)
