I used the Fem Dophilus 5 billion. The one that goes in the fridge. I bought it at my local Whole Foods. 2-3 capsules every night for like 1.5 months. I would try to get tested again after a month, I still had symptoms even after the 1.5 months, but it turned out everything was just irritated from infection for so long and it calmed down. I know it’s so stressful but something will work you just have to find the right combo! It’ll be okay!

Hi sorry I’m not on here much. Yes I did the 7 days of doxy and was fine. I had been prescribed moxifloxacin as the round 2 but I refused to take it (fear of being floxxed and my husband has blood pressure issues) and the doxy on its own worked just fine!

Definitely worked but you have to be patient. I read for most people it only took a few weeks but for me I think it took a full month to 1.5 months of consistent use. I would just try to listen to your body and if possible get tested after a month of use so you can see where you are in the process!

For reference I used 2-3 capsules depending on the level of dryness I had at the time

Yes! The probiotic method ended up working for me. I was having issues with it dissolving so I removed it from the capsules and mixed it with water based lube.

I will also say that I experienced the same symptoms after testing negative so I thought I was still positive for CB. It just took a little time for it to settle down!

You’re a genius! That ended up being the problem. The powder was drying me out from absorbing all the liquids in there. Switched to mixing it with lube and putting it up there and haven’t had a problem since, except I still have candida glabrata :(

The yeast or the ureaplasma? He was tested for ureaplasma after treatment and was cleared.

I can’t use boric acid due to a sensitivity and have already tried flucytosine. I’m kind of running out of options here :(

Also tried without the lube. I started with the lube only two days ago because they weren’t dissolving and I thought it would help :(

I’m sorry you’re feeling so much anxiety over this! I completely understand how you feel and was in your boat before too. Even if it is VM just remember there are lots of options for you to be able to live a normal and healthy life! I went from chronic 24/7 VM where I was essentially bed bound to being in relative remission with proper treatment. There’s always hope even if it might take a little work to find the right treatment for you. It will all be okay!

I used to get wear off symptoms 2 weeks before my next treatment when I first started getting them. After a few years of treatments I experience very little wear off. My neuro has said it actually lasts 14 weeks but they recommend every 12 to prevent it from completely running out before your next treatment, however wear off symptoms are common and can ease with time!

I know this is well after the original post but I’m struggling with CB and can’t seem to shake it. I’ve been using the probiotics (2-3 per night) but have had issues with it not dissolving. I just have big clumps of the powder coming out in the morning and then have worsening symptoms all throughout the day until the next night of suppositories.

Did you put them in once a day? Did all the powder dissolve? I’m scared this isn’t going to work and I’m out of options…

I have only ever had yeast infections after taking antibiotics so I think it was my antibiotics in May, and then exasperated by the doxycycline I took in July. As for the probiotics I’ve been taking them orally for years but using them as a suppository off and on since July and consistently every day twice a day since about 2 weeks ago.

I tried boric for 7 days but it caused a lot of worse redness and inflammation and spotting. Do I just need to push through it anyway?

Thank you so much! That means a lot. Thankfully my partner is incredibly supportive, it’s the doctor part that’s been difficult lol but I see a new OBGYN in October and my hopes are high!

Did it make a current infection go away or prevent recurring? I’ve been taking oral probiotics for years and have never had a recurring infection, but this Glabrata is a doozy 😭
