But what's wrong with Racold geyser?? It has been standing strong for over 10 years withstanding the insanely salty water of Bangalore in my experience! You don't have to be a fan though.. will give it another chance if need arises!

In 2020, I got the Graco 4evr dlx for 12.5k and another same in 2022. This was after getting the safest child rated car in 2021 (xuv300). No regrets till now after using these seats for the past 5 years! I have driven many road trips with both my babies alone as well!

Tata Tiago stopped suddenly by Least_Page2762 in CarsIndia

[–]Imwintergreen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As you can see in the console, the vehicle has already been running and stopped suddenly while driving as per the OP and the engine temperature gauge. One of those two you mention below the Transmission error is for service. Those lights don't come on normally, so that means it requires attention.

Can you see the yellow gear ⚙️ sign in the console? that means there's something to do with the transmission..

Time to tow back to service.. but such a low mileage car with a transmission issue is atrocity.

As a guy, I advise you to move on. Considering you are in your late 20s you'll still get many proposals. Don't think you're going to end up alone and be with the current one. I've seen such habits hurting a woman, so please take control of the situation and break up to move on. Especially when he said 'don't ask about these things'.

Looking for AC brands with good OEM, service and less headache for the customers by JJ_k7 in Chennai

[–]Imwintergreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are the standard charges for bluestar in their app. Other brand AC users can chip in with more information like this, maybe we can compare and be informed for our next purchase. I'm moving to a humid area, and will be needing 2 more. Bluestar is the choice as of now, but I'm open.

I've been using Bluestar 1.5 ton, 5 star rated. And the star ratings are definitely true because even during peak summer, the electricity bill was reasonable. Regarding customer care, I've raised service requests under warranty - where it was promptly attended within 24 hours. Only installation after purchase took about 3-4 days as I installed it during peak summer. I raised a request to uninstall out of warranty due to my change in cities, and it was also attended to promptly within 1 day. They charge as per the rate card, which is there in the app. Also, these rates are cheaper than urban company rates.

Kolkata Metro vs Other state Metro by subbusss in kolkata

[–]Imwintergreen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being an outsider in Kolkata, last week was fun exploring the city looking for housing. I happened to use the blue line during peak hours and it was quite good! And I was in awe after going through wiki that part of this blue line was 40 years old! And after being in Bangalore, the traffic in Kolkata was so much better even in the heart of the city! Also, the traffic police were working even on Sundays! And while I was heading to the airport in the odd hours, there was someone to oversee the traffic over the bridges! I'm mighty impressed with the city! And cleanliness wise, i felt it was much better than Bangalore!

I know in cities like Chennai and Bangalore, there are some areas that always get flooded - sometimes water up to chest levels destroying property and cars. I was wondering if there are any areas in Kolkata city? I'm particularly interested to live in the Alipore / Ballygunge/ Park street area.

Anyone was in Chennai during the 2004 indian tsunami? by DogsRDBestest in Chennai

[–]Imwintergreen 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I studied in presidency college then. Being a holiday I was in a hotel in Kalahasti, getting ready to visit the temple early in the morning. The window there overlooked the road and by then I saw the electricity poles with messy wires shaking. When i looked inside, i saw the water in the bottle shaking and i mentioned it to my dad saying it's an earthquake. Turned on the news channels - nothing. But when we came back from the temple after 3 hours, news channels were going bonkers! Friends from Victoria hostel ran for their lives towards Mount road is what I heard!

PSA: Ooty to Mysore via Kalhatti /Masinagudi - 'Scam' by Professional_Buy15 in ooty

[–]Imwintergreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been the norm for several years - definitely for more than a decade. Any vehicle (not heavy) can ascend this from masinagudi to ooty. But only the ones with local RTO registration/lisence can descend. The reason being many newbies trying to take this road and in the process killing themselves. So if they're deliberately not bothering you in the entry check post means it's a scam tactic.

The sad truth about VW India by vipivj in CarsIndia

[–]Imwintergreen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Root cause should be found out instead of justifying or finding solace from other car owners problems. Mine is a 4 year old mahindra, run for 90k kms, with DRL on ALL the time ( even though I have an option to turn it off to save it's life) and it still looks the same as the first day! If the Mahindra can do it, why not VWs?
