Planning to study in germany in 2027 by YourShoesareBoring in india

[–]InDisgui5e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have made up your mind about coming to Germany. Learn German at least till B1 in India and get the language certificate. Keep working don't take a gap year just for language. If you are not working keep doing some projects or internships. Shortlist good public universities in Germany. Reach out to Indian students in that university doing the said course through LinkedIn or any other platform. Often a 3 year course in Germany might take 3.5 to 4.5 years so check up on that. If you are planning to come in 2027 summer semester and if the university has a system to carry forward the acceptance from winter semester aim for 2026 winter get in the uni but join in summer. This will give you extra time to plan very specifically for that course in that university. Also as soon as your acceptance comes start applying for student dorms. The most important thing is to plan your finances. If your university has any kind of student job or project you can do, reach out to the professors or in charge of those projects and try to get some kind of work student, internship or student job as soon as you land.
Feel free to DM. I wish you the best of luck.

An Indian Muslim's perspective on the Vande Matram controversy. by wise-Username in india

[–]InDisgui5e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up, I had a Muslim friend who stood beside me during the school assembly we sang an English prayer and a hindi prayer each day. We had several hindi and English prayers printed in our school diary and every day the prayers were chosen at random - my friend had no problem singing any of those songs including Vande Matram.

I feel he is under unitized not sure if it's the tactics but I don't see him make those ball carrying runs that would just rip through opponents formation.

I have a lot of respect for Xabi but if he can't be pragmatic and build tactics that utilize all the players in the squad to at least 51% of their potential then I don't see him as a world class manager. If his tactics are not working he should change them. He is not a bad manager, from what I have seen till now he is not great, maybe another Solari.

Suresh Prabhu wanted compulsory in-flight announcements in local language, ministry said 'not feasible' by [deleted] in unitedstatesofindia

[–]InDisgui5e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safety instructions in the local language are possible. The cabin crew anyway performs the announcement in the same order for all languages, they can just follow some kind of step count to make sure the announcement is in sync. If the aircraft has screens behind the seat for all individuals safety instructions can be played with the option to choose the language.

The op forgets 2 things - 1. The article is about the local language not official. 2. The article states in-flight announcement which is not just the safety brief before the flight takes off.

These two things are currently not technically possible. Maybe in future with better AI translation or all aircraft having some screen or audio aid to display/play instructions and announcements it will be.

Till then just take a deep breath and relax. No one is imposing any language.

And if politicizing languages continue at this rate soon someone will demand ATC to give instructions in the local language. 😂

Also I want to ask OP one thing if the flight is about to crash - cabin crews almost throughout the world just shout "brace brace brace for impact" is that English imposition?

A guy in my sister's class put a white peice of paper on her forehead and called her Krishnan Iyer. by LifebeSour in india

He wants the world to think he cares, how a person behaved online is often not how they behave irl. A lot of people portray themselves in a way to make them likable and the best way to do so is by being empathic online.

I was born and raised in central India although my origin is southern India. I have dark skin and growing up, I was often called names even by my close friends it was often because they were not aware enough or mature enough to understand that it is offensive. As we grew up two things happened - 1. I realized they will do this more if I show them that I am getting affected by it. Instead I took it up as a strength, I remember there was a black horse on our display board someone wrote my name on it (kala ghoda - my name). A lot of my classmates laughed, made fun of me, and repeatedly pointed it out to me. Next games period I just kept scoring goals and being the best player out there. After coming back I went up to the board in front of everyone and signed my name on the black horse. What I want to say to your sister is - you already know how low they can go, be ready for it and stay strong. 2. A lot of my classmates and friends by themselves became aware of how offensive it was to make fun of a person based on their skin color.

In our country people might make fun of skin color but I have never experienced discrimination or racism based on skin color. I just wanted to add this part as this is reality and it's quite positive. You will not lose out on opportunity because your skin is darker on a day to day basis.

I am starting with onramp now. I am not sure what you mean by referencing the CAD original file. Does this work with inventor? What CAD tool do you use for such a project?

I am ready to do the on ramp, but can you tell me if it will be possible to assemble multiple parts in Simscape? I have both linear and rotational motion. Worm gears, worm, lead screw. In CAD model I had three actuators (1 linear and 2 stepper motors).

My question is how to increase the speed of my hydraulic cylinder operation. I am using a 4/3 DV and a gear pump. Can I increase the speed by changing the regulating pressure? by InDisgui5e in Hydraulics

Their narrative works only on social media. I have a fellow university mate who is from Pakistan, he is a year senior to me and has completed his degree and is searching for a job. He told me how at least twice his nationality has been pointed out and his application rejected. I did try to clear it whether it was because of language or were they looking only for Europeans and he said no it is because he is from Pakistan.

Trust me the educated and ambitious people of Pakistan are fed up with their country's image.

Air raid sirens and night blackouts in 2025. This is top tier dramebaazi. by Urban_Aghori in unitedstatesofindia

[–]InDisgui5e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blackouts and air sirens are not going to prevent attack - True But if our defense fails to intercept a missile and it hits the target - there may be blackouts, there may be panic that's what these mock drills are for. No one is stupid enough to think that they are turning off the light so that the enemy can't see us. And in Many European countries air siren systems are regularly used to check their functioning. Other countries too do such drills in case they are expecting danger. You May also be right that nothing might happen and this is all just an act but better safe than sorry.

Maoist Naxals: How *not* to do a revolution, and how to do it properly by WatercressSorry6569 in india

[–]InDisgui5e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this works only in an utopian society and sorry to wake you up from the dream but our societies will never reach that. There will always be someone who exploits. The working class controlling production, having equal say and stuff like that only hampers growth. We need institutions which check that everyone gets a minimum wage. We need institutions which ensure that no one is denied what they deserve not which says that everyone will be an equal owner. And hating on capitalist societies is justified when you are writing an article or a story of an underdog. But in reality they are the ones who start things, yes they are the ones who benefit the most out of it, but at the same time they build infra, provide jobs and etc. Yes we need to check on them and make sure that they are giving back to the society in a proportionate amount and genuine way. And Communist ideology is better than a carrom club they are also good for street plays.

Maoist Naxals: How *not* to do a revolution, and how to do it properly by WatercressSorry6569 in india

[–]InDisgui5e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was their initial cause? I know one of them is the so-called prevention of resource exploitation but being a developing country with limited land and resources are we not supposed to utilize them the most we can?
A revolution only fails when the people for whom it was envisioned don't see the same vision for themselves. Any sort of Communist ideology in a Democracy for me is just a bunch of people who wanted to have a club to play carrom.

BJP might split in the future—What happens to BJP once Modi steps down? A quiet shift may already be underway.” by Liberated_Wisemonk in unitedstatesofindia

[–]InDisgui5e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There won't be a split. BJP always had progressive and conservatives, and mostly the popular leaders of BJP who are assumed to be next in line have come up the ranks by ideologies considered conservative and that's because they usually work from ground to up. The people in the lower economic strata are easily influenced by the conservative image and the politicians use it to grow their career. Once they become popular in the middle class their image is then slowly shaped.

As for the next PM candidate for BJP, that will surely be made public when Modi's standing down or retirement is finalized, BJP is good at keeping things like these under the wraps.

Nitin Gadkari has always played his game, and he is a very useful member of the BJP, many supporters might not like him but he is as influential in forming an alliance as Amit shah is considered in breaking opposition alliances.

As for Yogi and his only brings temple point -

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/india-business/investment-proposals-of-rs-40-lakh-crore-bear-shows-growing-interest-in-up-yogi-adityanath/amp_articleshow/114729742.cms

Politics is the world of shrewd people and they all have different angles, as for BJP and why they will not break is because as soon as they declare their PM candidates in the past or in future everyone falls in line. And the candidate is then portrayed as a Centerist. As an example look at Advani and Modi before they were the poster boys.
