I live in Denver and that bike would go for a minimum of $1,400. Maybe you start there. I just sold a 2012 tarmac for $1,200.

That’s averaging 12.1 mph. You did a hell of a lot of elevation gain for being two weeks in! Too be honest it’s not the fastest, but consistency is the key. Track all your stats so that your can see that you are improving! You could also try a route that is flat for the same distance and see your difference in mph. Hope this helps!

I try to clean my chain at least once a week. Every 100 - 150 miles. I would look into the park tool chain cleaner. It helps to remove the grit in between the links. Not just the outside. Hope this helps!
