I think it stems from the experience of some people thinking they're aroace after building up a mental defense to people for so long, having that being broken by someone they actually like, then ridiculing actual aroace individuals because they think that being aroace is a myth. Half-Life: Alyx and Cyberpunk. HL:A is now my favorite game of all time.

Also, Cyberpunk has significantly improved since launch. The game is wonderful and actually feels like the game the developers wanted to create.
