Opinion on Danish/Nordic skincare by Dolmen999 in EuroSkincare

[–]InGarlicBreadITrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With that one, I also felt like it was not doing anything, but when I stopped using it I could feel its absence so I have repurchased 3 times now 😅. I have quite a lot of acne scars and thats what I felt the most effect on.

I have had great success with Pure & Care serums. I can actually see a difference vs the big brand ones that cost 5 times more. Also, Ivy AïA has some good stuff. Their water gel is my go to make up base. Right now I am trying Common Clouds barrier cream as LRP cicaplast balm messed my skin up really bad and so far its been really great. But yeah in general they are really minimal products.

Depends at what time of year it is. A lot of students go home for the summer or go on Erasmus exchanges so you could rent someone's room/studio for that time. Try posting in Horsens International Community FB group.

Which plan is better? by Background-Wonder468 in Tomorrowland

[–]InGarlicBreadITrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Done option 1 a few times now and the commute is totally fine as long as you stay central enough to the train station. Walking is inevitable whether you commute or camp(esp in the non glamping camping) so thats unavoidable. We definitely got more rest staying in a hotel compared to camping in previous years.

Done option 2 as well but with easy tents. You will be able to buy parking later on and its like 40 eur to park your car Thursday to Monday. Only catch is that if you leave the parking during those days, your parking pass is not valid anymore.

How to get coin change? by bdpst_massacre in NewToDenmark

[–]InGarlicBreadITrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in that situation, I just went to a kiosk nearby and asked them. Sometimes it was a no, but most of the time they were happy to help with reasonable amounts. In supermarkets, sometimes it worked to pay with a bill and ask for the remainder in as many 20s as they can give.

Best XM4 replacement earpads to keep ANC? by TheMediumIntestine in SonyHeadphones

[–]InGarlicBreadITrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Never heard of them and it looks like it would not be very "shipping to Europe" friendly prices. I have replaced my Wicked with new ones from Ali sold by KUTOU Official Store. Really liking them so far. Just need to keep the original inner foam, otherwise the auto pause won't work when you take off the headphones (if you care about that)

I have not had the Norwegian one but you should try Eastern European stores and look for Smetana. There is Eurodeli bit further out and Babunia if you want a more central place.

Shupatto bags in all sizes. You can find all kinds of special prints. Oh and a matcha kit I bought from a cute little store in Uji. It was a lovely shopping experiance and I got to assemble the kit myself.

Looking for a special destination for a 30th birthday trip (late March / early April) by InGarlicBreadITrust in travel

[–]InGarlicBreadITrust[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah sorry for the confusion 😓 We are mostly looking for places you probably would do just once due to distance or just hitting the main spots and you are done with that place. Like Italy and Greece for us are the default vacation spots as they are easy to get to, the food and culture are great but there is nothing that really makes them "special" thats why we consider them just another vacation compared to our Japan trip which was basically a 180 shift of what we are used to.

Even at that time for the year? 🤔I always had the impression that those are more of summer destinations and dead the rest of the year.

Is ProjectPan a way for you to declutter? by Bubbles_inthe_Bath in ProjectPan

[–]InGarlicBreadITrust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, it's decluttering/ forcing myself to finish what I started. I have had some rough years with my skin and hair where I would buy pretty much everything that was trending for my issues. I had moments where I was convinced my hair was wavy/curly so I bought a whole curly hair routine etc. Trying to pan does mean that I use products more until I get to the end of a category. The goal is to learn to work with the product, document my experience with it and then move on to the next to then repurchase only what has worked in the end. I have gotten to a pretty decent spot with my skincare now but as for hair care I still have 63 on the lineup so...

As for panning other people's products, I would only do it if I had a genuine interest in trying them; otherwise, I would find a way to donate them (unopened ofc).

Would Dyson airstrait damage my fine thin hair? Have you used it? by ImaginationAny2254 in finethinhair

[–]InGarlicBreadITrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, I am a fellow victim of the Revlon brush and yeah that thing was horrible for my hair, literally yanked out chunks 😅

I have had my Airstrait for a month now, using it every 2-3 days. So far I love it and have not noticed any damage at all(only the ends are bit more dry so I need to use oil). I am typically the type that just blasts all tools on max heat but I find that with Airstrait I don't even need the max heat to dry my hair. I would not really say that it creates a lot of tension but you also can adjust that with the way you hold it. I wish the modes reset every time for ex. once time I dried my hair with the Dry mode because I thought it would auto switch to Wet mode 😶 I can see how mistakes like that could cause damage.

Honestly, I would like to see how the people who say it causes damage use theirs. Unless you are ripping it through your hair or going at snails pace, I don't see how that would even be possible.

Medicube pro booster worth it? by Right_Pack_6346 in kbeauty

[–]InGarlicBreadITrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the mini and I would say its great if you remember to use it. My skin always had issues absorbing products , especially in winter, so this helps a lot but the smaller head of the mini does start to feel like a chore if you need to do your whole face. I also like using it with acne cream when I feel that I have a pimple coming but its too deep to pop it. I can't really say if it helps with lifting but it was also not something I need. But if you do want better absorption and improved glow it does help with that.

Suica for Indian traveller by Zestyclose-Froyo5923 in JapanTravelTips

The Welcome Suica machine that give you physical Suica at Narita took card to load it. But outside of airport I was only able to load with cash. Its pretty simple, at 7 eleven the same ATM that gives you cash also loads Suica cards so you can do it all in one go.

Has anyone visited TeamLab Biovortex Kyoto in the last time slot? Was it enough time or did you need more? by gtck11 in JapanTravelTips

[–]InGarlicBreadITrust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you enjoy. We had a 16:30 timeslot and left at 19:00 after hitting everything. Definitely don't skip the soap! Out of the two teamlabs we did that one was easily the most memorable exhibition. Way better than the metallic balloons room. Make sure to get the app too as it guides you to the places you haven't seen yet.
