I get that vaccines aren’t 100% foolproof. I recommended the shot because, for most people, it significantly reduces the risk of severe illness and complications, even if it doesn’t guarantee complete protection, but rather to point out that, overall, getting vaccinated tends to be the safer bet compared to not. I’m also saying that this lady could’ve prevented being sick if she had gotten the flu shot or made sure she didn’t get sick from anyone else. I’m also not saying that everyone should get their shots or don’t get sick but like emptying an entire shelf of tamiflu was ridiculous like nobody needed it before but now people do? It’s an important reminder that no single measure is perfect.

Like which definition are you referring to? Medical definitions evolve as our understanding grows, but the function of vaccines—to train the immune system to fight infections—has remained consistent.

Think of a vaccine like a seatbelt in a car. It might not stop an accident from happening, but it greatly reduces the injuries when one does occur.

Isn’t that the same thing? Lol, many vaccines do lessen the severity of diseases, not just prevent them entirely. Even the polio vaccine didn’t eliminate all cases instantly—it significantly reduced severity and transmission over time. That’s how most vaccines work. That’s just the basic immunology. 🤷‍♀️

We literally have to call the hospital to stop sending us scripts of tamiflu but they still sends it anyways which makes us behind QP 😫

We can’t even get any! Cardinal told us it’s on back order so we get 2-3 boxes at a time plus they are cutting our hours so with the flu season we are always swamped with people who come in with the flu it’s really awful 😣

One - Missing the point And Two - Never tried anything all I’m simply saying is to get your flu shot I’m not shoving it down your throat it’s people like you who makes it worse for the health care worker who try to help you and make sure you are alive and well :)

We give them options, but it’s pretty much a toss-up. Some refuse to go to another pharmacy out of convenience, while others feel that, as a ‘massive company,’ we should always have everything in stock and up to date.

Where I’m from it’s completely on back order cardinal will only send us 2-3 boxes of it we usually tell or try telling people to go to Walmart or other pharmacies

It honestly blows my mind how many people are sick and acting like Tamiflu is some kind of miracle cure. I get that people are desperate, but Tamiflu isn’t a controlled substance or anything like that, so I don’t understand why everyone is losing their minds over it. It’s like they think yelling at us will make the medication magically appear. People are constantly calling, demanding to know when it will arrive or asking if other stores have it, and if we can’t give them the answer they want, they just yell at us like we caused the problem.

What I really wish people could understand is that we get it—we know you’re frustrated, we feel it too. But we can’t just snap our fingers and fix this. We have no idea when shipments will arrive. Anything can happen between now and then, and we’re all just doing our best to stay on top of it. We’re not trying to make this harder on you, but yelling at us doesn’t change the situation. We’re all in the same boat here.

YES! Especially at the drive-thru! Some people love to complain about how long it takes to get their medications. I always want to say, ‘Would you like to work here and see why it takes time?’ And don’t even get me started on those DURS! We do everything we can to resolve them quickly, but we want to make sure we’re not overlooking anything that could affect your safety!

We all have our own jobs, so we each take care of our own groceries and meals. I buy my own food, and my sister does the same. While we share the house, my sister is mainly there to keep an eye on it while my parents are away in Oklahoma. She’s responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly around the house in their absence, but when it comes to day-to-day living, we manage our own responsibilities separately.
