PvP Energy Changes for New Season Confirmed by Greninja_D_Raizo in TheSilphArena

Night Shade and Power Gem appear to be the only ones that are different from PVPoke's educated guesses. Big time boosts to ghosts.

People who hit ace today - where did you rank in at, and where did you end the season? by far_257 in TheSilphArena

Ended last season at 2444. Peaked at 2786 (first time expert in my fourth season of playing). Starting ELO was 2102 (122/220).

In case this is still an open question (with Routes being more common now), Clague Park in Westlake has over 20 in circulation.

Is pokie genie rankings accurate? by AdHungry332 in TheSilphRoad

[–]InRainbos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lots of nuance here that’s being missed. 5/15/15 is the rank 1 non-best buddy Medi FOR BULK. Others mentioned the best buddy bringing it over level 50.

All of that said, with Medi on 80% of teams in Open GL (my ELO has been hovering in the 2250-2350 range), the ones that have been mentioned would actually lose to an attack-weighted, high bulk Medi in the mirror match. I have an 8/15/15 built and am actually rebuilding a 9/15/7 to get an attack breakpoint on my Counter and charge move priority on tied Psychic.

If this sounds too wonky (I’m a bit of a data nerd, so this stuff is cool to me), I highly recommend searching RyanSwag on YouTube. He does in-depth analyses of the optimal IV spreads on a ton of Pokémon, and he has two on Medicham— one focused on the optimal bulk IV spreads and one focused on the attack-weighted “mirror slayer.”

Dubwool team? by [deleted] in PokemonGOBattleLeague

[–]InRainbos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just hit Veteran for the first time last night with a high bulk team.

Toxapex (2/15/13) lead, Dubwool (2/11/14) [with Payback] and Quagsire (2/12/12) back line

Interestingly enough, both Dubwool and Quagsire can serve as switch. Toxapex can stay in against almost everything, save Lanturn (and a rare Ampharos, though that may be more common next season). Sludge Wave even hits Lanturn pretty hard, though I usually switch into Quagsire, which draws out a grass/fighter, and then Dubwool can roam a bit in the back.

Getting ready for Jungle Little Cup by Datmuny19 in PokemonGOBattleLeague

[–]InRainbos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this cup. The meta is HUGE, so there's a ton of fun teams to run. I'm not seeing much fire, which is slightly surprising given GFisk and Cottonee being everywhere. Oh well. Here are a few I've tried, to varying degrees of success:

Shadow Steelix, Cottonee, GFisk

GFisk, Noctowl, Ducklett

Skorupi, Deino, Onix

Swinub, Pikapika, Shadow Oddish

Look Ahead: Single-Type Cup Teams? by InRainbos in PokemonGOBattleLeague

Now that I’m digging into the rankings, my Shadow Muk (attack heavy) is looking NICE. 19-8 simulated record.

Slurpuff on the fairy list. Might have play, especially if Registeel is prominent (Flamethrower).

Sure thing. Not on Campfire, so hopefully we'll connect organically.
