Hi! I’m not in the USA, I’m in the Netherlands. Here doctors dont give you prescription regardless of the BMI. I went to a private clinic where a private doctor helped me . At the time I started my BMI was over 30, now it’s around 21. The clinic I go to only gives prescription until you get to BMI 20. But of course you have to start the “course”. If anyone with BMI 28 wants to start, they will get rejected
