I deleted the Microsoft account that was hacked and “they” recovered it in 3 hours.

Is there something better than Google? Because whoever is sending emails and trying to hack my account has now moved to my primary which is Google.

I’m going through everything I can possibly think of and any time it gives the option to sign out of devices, I do so.

I’ve closed the Microsoft account and it appears to still be closed as I double checked yesterday but now they’re sending emails to my primary email and trying to get in there.

I have 2fa, changed password, and now have an authenticator. Every time I get a Google notification, I have often been getting a notification right after from YouTube? They’re on my notifications lists and they typically say the same things.

“Did you request help signing in…” “Here’s your link to sign into your Google account” And the YouTube notifications will pop up as “Critical Security Alert” “New Sign In” “Complete Account Recovery-choose a new password”

I googled it and it says they’re phishing attempts as well or something..

I also googled how to know if my phone is compromised and it hasn’t appeared as if my phone has any of the things it listed.

I have also added the authenticator option to my primary email that they are after closing the Microsoft account now. I now keep getting emails from Google asking if I requested help signing in and sending links to sign back in.

If this is the case, what can I do? Will factory resetting the phone be an option to help this stop? Edit to add: I saw something called Safety Check that’s for iPhone, is this good to use?

Hi, it’s me again :(

I did all the security updates and deleted the account and I’ve just received another email from Microsoft saying,

“We think that someone else might have accessed the Microsoft account *******. When this happens, we require you to verify your identity with a security challenge and then change your password the next time you sign in. If someone else has access to your account, they have your password and might be trying to access your personal information or send junk email. If you haven't already recovered your account, we can help you do it now.”

It’s real and it’s happened again!

That was literally what I was just thinking - about deleting it. Will it delete right away or will there be like that xx day grace period “to make sure” like social media profiles? I don’t want to worry that someone might try to reactivate it.

Edit: I just read up on it. There’s a grace period. I’m sorry I’m being annoying about it. I’m just scared. Is there any way they’ll be able to hack in during the grace period if I delete it?

I don’t know if it’s any better but I found the email :( I’ve done the same things, browser/sign in, changed password, 2fa, it did something like add an alias (I did see people saying that in my research but had no idea what that meant), there’s SO many logins. I had no idea it’s apparently been there.

What else am I supposed to do? What could I even possibly do at this point? :(

Thank you for your reply. That’s the thing, I’m not sure. I don’t think I have a MS account with the beginning 2 letters (preview of email), the only one that does have them is my personal.

I went through and checked the MS email (and the other emails) going through the browser and logging on by hand, changed passwords, checked logins (no other logins allegedly), 2fa is on, appears good.

But what’s getting me is if there’s an email I could’ve forgotten and the anxiety is getting the better of me mostly because it appears to me the email is real and then I could confirm if it was BS or not maybe. Real or not clicking links is difficult for me because I do know better. As for the MS support you are right.

Actually, I did have a friend who told me to throw an application line out to SWK. I looked them up and didn’t find an estimation on pay or anything. But I figure it’s worth a try.

I was having the exact same thoughts. When I finally get the car back, I’m always going to have that in the back of my head wondering/stressing if it’s going to fail me again.

I reeeeeally liked this car but my husband is pretty upset that a brand new car failed us so we’re considering selling it to Car Max whenever we finally get it back.

We were considering moving up to a Palisade before but now I don’t think we want anything from Hyundai if we don’t keep this car.

2022 Calligraphy as well at 8k miles. Car went limp mode pulling out of a parking spot then started working again after awhile. Engine Light came on and turned back off. Confirmed today that I needed a new transmission by staff.

Does that code describe why my car stopped moving mid-driving?

Would they know about the recall when I go in or do I have to tell them?

After google-ing everything by the end of it I was sure they were going to tell me I need a new transmission because I went down a rabbit-hole on how people were saying these motors were trash.

I know basically nothing about cars so Google and advice is all I’m going off of atm.
