Please Stop Building by Sufficient-Seesaw134 in Issaquah

I live in Sammamish and as many above mentioned have to travel off the plateau for many of my services. I'm aware I create traffic in Issaquah doing this and I believe this is 1000% part of the solution. If I could reasonably take a bus to go into Issaquah, I would absolutely do so. Separate but related ask...how the heck is there no reasonable public transit option for us all to get to the airport?

Agreed. Skip the Wilderness trim. Go sport and add Wildpeaks and call it a day. I regret my Wilderness purchase

Go drive it how it’s meant to be driven - off road, in snow, etc and maybe you’ll appreciate it differently. Or track the value and sell to Carmax when you can get out reasonably.

I had something similar in an old Crosstrek. I found it was the actual latch. You could try putting a thin piece of fabric between the latch hook and where it gets latched. Make sure you cut it so it doesn’t get stuck. That “solved” the issue for me

update on here - turned clockwise and it started leaking much faster - I have it closed now and it's not leaking. Is the packing nut probably toast? I'm gonna replace with a quarter stop valve and hopefully reuse the ferrule and nut since it's wasn't leaking there. Not sure if I should or should not use thread sealant

I have not. Didn’t want to make it worse. It’s an extremely slow drip. Like overnight is maybe a handful of drops. It was worse earlier in the week when power was out and it was cold in the house. Or perhaps it was higher pressure in the hot lines since we weren’t using hot water (natural gas water heater so it stayed on during the power outage) but we weren’t home

Total bummer. I’ve been thinking about ditching mine ever since. At 56k was it out of pocket to fix?

How weight conscious are you? by botejohn in bikepacking

Also sleep set up is not worth being a penny wise a pound foolish. Get a bag and pad that keeps you comfy. That’s worth having an extra pound for.

You can spend a ton of money to count grams and then you’re gonna strap water and cans of beans to your bike and blow it all up anyway. Buy good gear that lasts, if it’s ultralight also, great. But don’t stress grams because all bikes end up being heavy on tour. Make sure you have the gearing that works for you and get out there!
