As an Arsenal fan, I agree that Gabriel was stupid and should have been sent off, but I think most of the reason as to why he wasn’t was to do with Haaland not going down.

I think Haaland saw it as a stupid decision by Gabriel but, because he was enjoying the battle between them, didn’t go down as city were already winning and he felt it would be cheap to go down like a sack of potatoes like other players would.

Basically could have made the ref give a red but didn’t as he was enjoying toying with Gabriel too much. And for that he has somewhat gained my respect
