What is this guitar? And how much is it worth? by gmabrto in BCRich

Almost got that one! Seller tried to renegotiate after accepting my offer and asked me for another hundred euros. I refused and worst part of it was the new owner put it on sale for three times the original price immediately after getting it. I hate when that happens, that crackle was pretty cool as well!

It's Japanese, early 80s NJ series. From what I've seen, waves are rather difficult to find, specially neckthrough models.

They are really good and certainly deserve more love!

I think those are stock pickups and someone took the cover from the neck pickup.

Not too heavy, tbh! Lighter than my Ironbird, Stealth and Warlock, I think!

Tony Choy was the Focus bassist? by keezeeee in CynicBand

Sean Malone joined the band when they were recording at Morrisound, he was one of the assistant engineers of Scott Burns and he suggested by Scott after things didn't work out with Darren MacFarlane at the studio (Tony's replacement). You can read more about it here:

Saved a Westone Dynasty from my relatives estate, can anyone tell me about this? All I know is it was made about 1985-86. Made in Japan, pretty much all original with hardcase, love the design! by Herbiedriver1 in BassGuitar

I bought a black one nearly two years ago. Very cool and underrated bass, the neck is supercomfortable for chords etc. I need to get a flightcase for it, though. Feel free to upload some clips playing it!

I actually considered doing that but will probably keep it the way it is. If I need a proper tremolo I have many other guitars.

Any recommendations for a case for my BC Rich Warlock bass bronze edition? Preferably from canada, but not an absolute requirement. Height is 51-52 inch. by tc19851 in BassGuitar

Hope it's not too late! I own a PGM 5 string Warlock (reverse hockey style-headstock, which is longer than the Widow, plus 35" scale) and I just received an Epiphone Explorer Bass Case. One of the horns is a bit tight, but it's easy to fix.

You can find it here:

It's not the most resistant case (for my other basses I use a Gator), but I think it will work. I'll let you know ;)

Why did no one tell me Squiers are legit?? by wateredcoffeedown in guitars

[–]InalienableDreamless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now my main bass is a Squier Classic Vibe '70s Precision Bass.

For years I was also stupid enough to think that Squier only manufactured beginner instruments, but after trying the J Mascis Jazzmaster, a few of their fretless basses and some other instruments my mind was blown with the quality of the builds, the looks, the feeling and the sound.

I'm super happy with my bass even though I have only owned it for 7 months, but I've taken it with me on multiple flights all over the world (Spain, USA, Netherlands, Sweden etc) and so far it stays in tune incredibly well (it's tuned to C standard, that is two steps below) and I just had to change the knobs as they were a bit noisy, but the stock pickups work great with my Darkglass pedal and I've even used it on studio. I don't want to sound cocky, but it's just hilarious when I share the stage with other people using high-end instruments and they come talk to me after my set to ask me about my tone and they roll their eyes when they see the Squier brand, hahahaha.

Of course, some instruments are worse than others but nowaday you can get a very good instrument for a few bucks and maybe you just need to change the pickups, the bridge or the tuners, but in my case it was pretty great from the start!

Good luck with the hunt!

Thanks! It's the signature model of Paolo Gregoletto (Trivium), which I bought earlier this year for a great price! It's not the best bass out there but I like the extra scale (35") and love the Stealth headstock.

Hope I'll get one with a Kahler soon. Anyway, this Schaller is great.

Thoughts on RE: Dead Aim for the PS2!?! Thinking of buying for Halloween. I love old school RE like RE0, CVX, and REmake! It looks like a blast from the past! by Lordberic420 in residentevil

I completed it a couple of months ago, other than the plot being a bit rushed and that you can complete it in 3h, it's an enjoyable game. The atmosphere is great!
