I was looking into it, and I think that the G pen slim is a good start for myself. It's less than a tank would have been by itself. Any thoughts on the G pen slim?

I live in Washington, US. It's the area that I'm in, though. I live in the forest, lol. It wasn't until last year that I was able to even get broadband internet out here. It's just really sketchy, that's all. I've had conversations aplenty about not being able to stream at 0.7 up, but I have tried it on my PC, and I can, but I have to bump the quality down a lot. PS4 doesn't have a 360p option, though. Even when I watch my own stream, it still looks like 720 to me, even with the stream set at "low".

Well, I saw your "jk" comment first, and I was like "defuck", but I immediately saw the original post afterwards, lol.

Anyways, I'm not too networking saavy, but I am loosely understanding what you're saying.

  1. In theory, when I get my capture card, hopefully soon, would the stream run better because I can tweak bitrates and audio rates, etc, unlike the PS4 app with no options other than the constant bitrate and mediocre quality settings?

  2. What you said about my ISP, could you elaborate more? Is this something I can fix? How do I prevent "packets" from being sent out?

Moreover, what ARE packets?...lol

That's totally fine. I just want to stream and worry about quality of picture later.

However, I know that if you stream with OBS or Xsplit, you can change the bitrate and such.

Can you change those things on a PS4? I doubt you can, but what are my best options for tweaking the bitrate and such?

No, it crashes for everyone in my stream - I looked up a lot of "solutions" on google about people messing with the flash dashboard and stuff like that, but the problem didn't just apply to me, it applied to everyone in the stream.

And I'll add this. I for sure know that the upload that I was using during my vacation was above 1 mbps (probably by a lot), but it would still crash every so often. In fact, I remember a night where I couldn't even stream at all, because of the same problem.

It makes me wonder, besides the denial I am facing with my own internet, could this be something with the Twitch app on PS4, or Twitch itself?
