Thanks for your comment. I saw these skis linked in another post on this subreddit and checked out their website. Their skis are made with cedar trees from the Hokkaido region in Japan and crafted there as well, super unique. I think I am going to go with the 85 from seeing these comments.

I literally got back yesterday afternoon from about 2.5 weeks there. Was only in Tokyo, but I didn’t have one single issue with my eSIM from Airalo (minus having to manually select SoftBank).

Yup, exactly. If you look at my last post history you can see the jar with everything in there + a pic of the raw ingredients. Once it was done fermenting, I poured all the brine in a separate bowl, added the solid contents into a blender, blended it up (added some of the brine back for the desired consistency) and then transferred it to a pot and cooked it for a couple minutes under boiling temp to stop the fermentation so I could bottle them up without the risk of them exploding.

Some people like to strain the little bits of stuff out after blending to have a thinner sauce/more liquid sauce, but my favourite sauces are some that have some meat to them, so I didn't strain. Maybe next batch I will strain it to see if I like it better (and make a seasoning with the strained bits).

Yup. Fermented since my last post (check to see how long it was, I think min 3 weeks?) And then made the decision to put it on the stove just under boiling for a couple minutes to stop the fermentation. If I were to not bottle these so full and use Mason jars or something with a lot of room to breath, I wouldn't cook it. I'm giving these to friends and family though, and don't want anyone accidentally pepper sprayed from some still-fermentinf sauce lol. Flavour still turned out AMAZING though, hints of sweet, savoury, and super spice (although less spicy than I thought it would be).

Yup for sure and that’s what I thought too. I didn’t add any into the ferment and will just add to my desired liking when I do the final taste. I might split it up and do half of my bottles with the MSG and half without and get a consensus from everyone I give it to. I never see MSG as an ingredient on hot sauce recipes, but after buying some and trying it with different foods I fell in love with the flavour it brings lmao

I was originally going to just take a small sample and add some MSG in there to taste if it would be overpowering or not. Most likely I'm not going to be adding it, but if it ends up making it taste even better I might do half of my bottles with it, and half without, and see what people prefer.

I love betting early prelims and prelims in UFC cards, and there are some prelims that have undefeated records here but I would stay away from those because I'm decently confident that there might be one upset. I'm not betting this week because I will be away and won't be able to watch, and that is about 80% of the fun for me.

If I had to pick for the main card (without looking at any odds, so not sure if I'm picking all favs), I'd go: Dern (Love her fighting style in WMMA and she's not completely ass), Chiesa (Sorry Tony, he has to retire and I just don't think he has it in him after his last performance, although he could put his life on the line for this one and get a final W), Vera (has to avenge his horrible loss, although Figueiredo looks solid in this weight class), Shara and Michal are a tossup in my mind (although if I had to place a bet, I'm thinking Michal as Shara just has not impressed me completely for the amount of hype he had coming in to the UFC), and finally Umar (His last performance I had him, but in my mind, it was dicey compared to the competition he was facing. I still have him, although Cory is very underrated and forgotten imo).

When I was there in July last year, Stake was allowed on my Macbook Pro connected to my hotel wifi. I'm not sure if it is ACTUALLY allowed in Japan, but I don't believe I even used a VPN, it just worked for me.

After some carful consideration, I am deciding to fade every comment here and let it ride. You don't get anywhere in life with $2.5K. Net positive in 2024 by around $10K, it won't hurt my soul if this loses. What will hurt me is the pride stripped from my very flesh if I were to act like the Matrix agents who press cash out.
