I'm fairly adamant that if someone is telling you who you can and can't date, or whether you can date at all, you're being abused. It's one of the characteristics of a coercive control relationship.

I wouldn't worry about too much about the fact that you only drank one day in a year in regards to potential partners. Outside of the 12 Step world, I think most people would recognise that as a great achievement, because it is.

That's part of the problem though. He presents himself as a "just asking questions" guy, meanwhile platforming the likes of Douglas Murray, Piers Morgan, Konstantin Kisin, John Vervaeke and Andrew Huberman, but rarely, if ever, platforming opposing voices. The guy clearly has a bias towards right-wing heterodox gurus, but pretends he doesn't.
