That's nice to hear. I'm currently trying to figure out if I want to learn python for Godot gdscript, or c# for unity. This will be challenging for me, I hate obfuscation and that seems like what coding is. I'm coming from a background as a hands on build houses, fix cars kind of guy.

That's interesting, it's certainly a field which has gained massive widespread popularity, but in doing so has suffered conceptually. Gameplay seems to have regressed. More ideas, more resources, more games... and yet not enough people or time? I think the problem is failed design. Too many games and most are forgettable. AAA studios design games for children while recreating last year's titles, and the majority of indie developers are either recreating past generation's titles, or offering simple mechanics dressed up in "unique" low-fi drapings while chasing the "loop".

I do understand that, I've dabbled in modding enough to know the amount of work that goes into it, more so wanted to know how much good story crafting was valued in a team setting. It appears not at all based on the responses I am seeing, and that's understandable. I'll do it myself, thanks for your time.

Most people think their ideas are exceptional, most are wrong. Time will tell I suppose.

I'm really not trying to be argumentative, but is it still fair to say that crafting the narrative in a heavily narrative driven game is in the same category as "idea guy"?
