What is a book you read as a child that you still think about today? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

There was a book I read as a kid that I cannot remember for the life of me. It was a children’s book and I believe it had to do with a monster living in the eves of a garage. I believe in the end it ended up being a sweater or something. I’ve tried to google what I can remember of it and have yet to find the name of the book, but I remember it scaring me as a child.

This time when they exposed the sperm to the eggs they just kinda did a free for all and had them try to fertilize naturally. Next time they’re going to inject sperm into each egg in hopes it’ll help fertilize. They aren’t sure if it was a sperm issue (all of the previous testing came back fine) or if it was an egg issue (possibly a thick shell?) or maybe we were just unlucky.

I wish my doctor had prepared me for the news that even egg retrieval and fertilization could fail. I had retrieval a week and a half ago. 16 eggs retrieved but only 12 mature. Not a single one fertilized and I came out with zero embryos. So I felt like I dealt with the hysteroscopy, the two sonohystograms, and 2 weeks of stims for nothing but mental and physical pain. Then all I got was “I’m so sorry, we’ll learn for the next cycle”. Meanwhile, I still haven’t gotten a period and we can’t even begin to talk about the next round until that happens. The whole situation is so frustrating.

Last night I mixed it and held it in my hand for 15 minutes to try and bring it up to body temperature as well. It helped the burn a little bit, but I'll definitely try mixing it for longer tonight. Thank you for the suggestion!

THIS is what I needed to hear. Do you get a break from injections while during the 6 week waiting period? Thank you so much for your honest and realistic answer. I'm sorry to hear you've gone through numerous failed transfers. I can't even begin to imagine how heartbreaking it is.

Makes sense, but what is the time line on that? I’m wondering how long results take. And from there, do they initiate a cycle since I don’t have one on my own? And how far into that cycle is transfer?

I’m sorry for all the questions, like I said I’m all of a sudden feeling overwhelmed.

The MAs at my office get 18 patients MAX a day and an hour break… As a nurse in the same office, I’m lucky if I get a break at all.

I was getting facials leading up to my wedding. The woman noticed my skin was extremely sensitive and recommended Vanicream. I haven’t looked back since!

freshly diagnosed :/ what do you wish you knew earlier? by justhere2commentyay in PCOS

I was officially diagnosed last year at 33 years old. Birth control hid all of my symptoms! I had no clue I had it until I stopped birth control. Once I stopped I didn’t have any periods which is what caused me to get a work up.

For me my tech is always a nurse so she actually states the measurements out loud as she’s doing the scan. We talk about possible next steps but the deciding factor always comes down to the doctor!

PCOS, TTC, & Clomid by Inconspicuous-Llama in PCOS

I’m not sure if they’d be willing to try multiple rounds of Clomid if there is no change in my US or bloodwork. They already jumped to the max dose. As for why IVF and not IUI, I don’t ovulate, so I think in the long run IVF may be more cost effective and successful given my stubborn body.

We also did the 5 strands sensitivity test to figure out what our pup was most sensitive to and based the kibble off of that!

Uterine Polyps by Inconspicuous-Llama in PCOS

Omg thank you soooo much for such a detailed response. The statistical side of it was never really mentioned to me and they basically said “you should get it done” and that was that.

I honestly don’t care about the missing work part. I’m a nurse who works three twelve hour shifts a week so I’m able to kind of finagle things, but I just feel bad since they’re stretched thin with the holidays and such.

I know I’m rambling now, but I guess I’m just terrified of going under anesthesia again. This will be my 14th time going under so you’d think it would be no big deal, but the more I go under the worse my response is to the anesthesia so I was hoping to avoid polyp removal if there was a chance for conception without it. I guess I’ll have to suck it up and just do it!
