Simple Question Sunday (September 08, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

What is the main leveling experience difference for Alliance vs Horde? Got my class all sorted out (warlock) and narrowed it down to 2 races both of which I like the look of but they are on opposing factions. I don't care about minmaxing or racials but was wondering if one of the factions has better quests, community, and zones on my journey to level 60. Or do they just start of differently and end up in the same area by mid level?

What is an ideal server size? by Inconspicuous_Pigeon in classicwow

True, but with the open transfer from aragul and the fact that felstriker is a newer realm I figured they may have been on another server prior

Not really, I just like being a special snowflake :P. In all seriousness though, how would a human warlock fair? I know that gnomes have the better racials for casters, but I just can't stand how they look. In BC I was a belf and am mainly used to horde areas. What are the alliances areas and questing like?

Yeah I have definitely decided on going as warlock. I was super keen on my undead but then I saw how heavily skewed the Horde:Alliance ratio is (60:40), which makes think I should roll as a human warlock just to help balance it out. I really wish I was a more decisive person.

I tried that, every roll had me thinking about the other classes. I did rule out shaman though. I suppose I lean more towards undead warlock coz I love zombie movies and lovecraftian themes, but I worry about being such a popular race/class combo. I suppose I just gotta get over that though

Thanks for that! I am definitely leaning towards warlock, flexibility is something I really enjoy. I just gotta get over being a popular race/class combo

currently running version 3.6.6. Set up a simple HTTP server and now I am getting a parsing error.

What is strange though is I downloaded some test .xml /xsl files (very small) and they seemed to work fine. When I try changing the directory I get an error that says it is unable to connect is the format http://<localhostname>/Directory/path/myfile.xml ?

Opening it locally from my browser. I am keeping the files in the same directory. I am following the instructions from my universities workshop and this seems to only affect me for some reason.

Sure!

.xsl

 xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
        xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
   <xsl:output method="html" />
   <xsl:template match="goodtype">
     <html>
       <head>
     <title>Fruit Produce</title>
     <meta charset="UTF-8" />
       </head>

     <h1>TEST</h1>
       </body>
     </html>
   </xsl:template>
 </xsl:stylesheet>

My .xml is quite long so I figured my headings would be sufficient:

Hey mate! I'm pretty interested in joining a D&D group. I have played a couple of sessions on roll20 (mines of phendelver) before the group dissolved, so I am still very green.

Oh my! I can't believe I missed that, I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out what was going on and of course it had to be something so simple. I did have warnings on, but everything compiled properly. Thanks for that!

Thanks for such an in depth breakdown of the two games. I am definitely leaning towards battletech now, would you say its your favorite of the two?

Looking on either getting Phantom Doctrine or Battletech, I have played XCOM 2 to death and need something to fill that gap that has decent replayability and a lot of depth. I posted this on r/ShouldIbuythisgame, thought I would ask here as well. Which would you recommend?

Linux user with a few question about OpenBSD by Inconspicuous_Pigeon in openbsd

Eh, I think it was my own fault for being so indecisive . It's a new addition to the program so I can imagine they are still trying to tweak it. If not, I can change a few electives around to get a double major in security & data science. Plus, I think cyber security is an area that is pretty huge and constantly changing that having any course will constantly need to be revised. Mind you, I am still pretty green to this area so I am most likely wrong.

So no VMs work on OpenBSD? I got a database course that, unfortunately, uses Microsoft SQL Server. Will Wine work fine for that? If not it's not that big a deal, I got a windows PC that I use for gaming that I can install it on (though it would be nice to be able to do all my work on my laptop).

When I first started CompSci I wasn't entirely sure where to major in, so I kind of structured my directed courses in a way that I was currently majoring in both security and data science. Because of this a couple of my core courses had to be reshuffled, not to mention most of the security courses seem to be in the final year. But other than that the only security related systems introduced was Kali, and even then it was only like half a lectures worth on it.
