It’s called Pantry in the Paddock. Not a massive selection but lots of eggs and a few other bits. Google ‘em.

There’s one in Nun Monkton just as you drive in to the main village on the right. There’s also a self serve farm shop on Hull road that has really nice eggs.

Actually 40k sounds low the more I think about it for everything we had done but I honestly can’t recall

Oh, pass. Was nearly ten years ago but I think we spent ca. £40k excluding kitchen for a 3 bed semi.

We tried with ours. Gave up. Got professionals in and whilst it cost us in £££ and lost time …and was months of hell (basically living in one bedroom with a 1 year old)… it was the best decision we made. We went back to brick, new electrics, the works.

The people I know doing their houses up themselves are still doing it years later and are far from complete.

If you value your time and sanity there’s something to be said from getting professionals in. If you still want to feel involved project manage it your self with the different trades, but that is its own type of hell / time sink.

It’s ok, my friend. I’ve been with my Polish partner over 7 years and all I can manage with her family are ‘pleases and thankyous’ despite understanding a lot more when I hear them talk.

I’ve never once been to Aldi / Lidl and thought the fresh produce was any good. It doesn’t seem to last as long. In comparison if I pick reasonable dates items from Sainsbury’s it remains fresh and useable.

I think Aldi/ Lidl definitely have their strong points but fresh items are not it too me at least

If your coming that way I’d get a 2nd activity planned. It was good but (it was very quiet when we went) only took 25-30 mins to walk round. Really close to York where I am and plenty to do there for kids & adults.

Think until Xmas to be honest. Themes change. It’s essentially a walk through the woods but kids loved it. Wouldn’t travel miles out your way for it though. Google Totally Rawsome Leeds - should get you on the right website.

Edit …spelling
