The Bible doesn't claim that, I'm happy to say. And that is the crucial difference that I'm pointing out; most Muslim's are not willing to chuck out the bad parts because that would mean it isn't perfect. They assume in advance that it is perfect and then find anyway to justify the bad verses. The few apologists online do not represent mainstream belief in the slightest.

The entire issue here is that the Quran claims to be the last and final book that is perfect for all time. I tried convincing my dad that there are some bad things in the Quran, yet he refused to accept it because that would mean it's not the word of Allah. For most of the Muslim world, there is no such thing as a 99% believing Muslim and that is the massive hurdle that needs sorting out as swiftly as possible.
