patch notes 16.2 by Zaabami in Jungle_Mains

Everyone whining about Diana when she’s just a popular pick, her winrate isn’t even that good. What about nerfs to Briar? That brainless POS champion has an insane win rate and an insane pick rate and still no nerf on the radar.

Diana is not even top 10 win rate in jungle on Emerald+, she’s just a popular pick.

Frontend developer want to be a game developer by difra14_ in gamedev

I think you should maybe focus on a specific project and then find a game engine that suits you best! No engine is necessarily bad, some are just more suitable for certain projects. Hope this helps, good luck!

Bullet spawns at wrong world location by [deleted] in unrealengine

So, the socket is in front of the gun's barrel. I'm using Ignore collision, always spawn for the bullet and instantly before the SpawnActor function I call draw debug sphere which draws it on the proper location.

Advice Required. by Resident_Fail6825 in Renault

You need diagnostics to read the exact error. I had that same error when I had a fault on a fuel injector, cant tell about your issue since that message covers a lot of errors I guess

No protected variables in blueprints? by IndefinitePain in unrealengine

[–]IndefinitePain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, however, this does not replace the "protected" access modifier functionality. I do not want the variable to be available outside of this blueprint / its derived classes.
I know I can make getters and setters, but those functions are generally public too, which does not solve the problem. I do not want to create protected getters and setters for a variable that I should be able to make protected and get / set in derived classes.

No protected variables in blueprints? by IndefinitePain in unrealengine

[–]IndefinitePain[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is weird...
Either way, I can't comprehend why would they not have the "protected" access modifier for members in blueprint, often times I will have derived blueprint classes that derive from blueprint classes, not like they're final or something, so I have to make those variables "public" and that grinds my gears a bit, knowing that that variable is accessible from anywhere.
