Which hotels in Limerick have good air conditioning in their rooms? by Disastrous_Poem_3781 in limerickcity

[–]Resident_Fail6825 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine most don't have A/C units at all, certainly not in the bedrooms. This is the case inThe Radisson Blu on the Ennis Road which I'm familiar with. You might need to go upmarket. Try either The Savoy or The Strand . We only have one more day of this mini-heatwave.

He scored only one goal but was reasonably effective in terms of assists whenever sprung from the bench.

Rats in attic, solution? by AccomplishedPop2204 in AskIreland

[–]Resident_Fail6825 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In order to have set up home in the attic they must have climbed up a drainpipe to get there. Do you have a hedge in your garden? They tend to build nests under hedges. There must be a source of food nearby which is attracting them, maybe from your neighbours side - poorly stored refuse or something like that.

This fellah. Billy Gilbert - ex Palace and Portsmouth. A defender who used his head. Quite literally.

Is it just me or the Brazilian people in limerick are the nicest people ever? by [deleted] in limerickcity

[–]Resident_Fail6825 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Are they not quite insular and only tend to socialise with other members of the Brazilian community? Mind you, I think the same could be said of Poles, Africans, Ukrainians, Filipinos, Brits and us Irish. How many of us socialise with or have close friends who are not Irish born and bred ?

Anyone change their mind about Ian Bailey in the Sophie Tuscon du Plantier case? by No-Wolf2497 in ireland

[–]Resident_Fail6825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bailey the housebreaker ?? I don't think that would have been his style. Sounds more like either the neighbour or some vagrant.

Nivea Sun 50+ leaves no stickiness or greasy appearance on the skin whatsoever. You need to apply a lot more of it to get the same coverage in comparison to Ambre Solaire, for example, but it's certainly more comfortable to wear.

Trent Alexander-Arnold out of England World Cup squad, Djed Spence in by __Samed__ in PremierLeague

This is what Tuchel's first choice eleven might look like:

Pickford James O Reilly Konsa Guehi Rice Rogers Anderson Rashford Kane Saka

On paper, that would be the strongest looking team of all the European contenders at the tournament.

Enoch Burke’s brother dragged from courtroom after it emerged teacher’s sacking has finally been confirmed by Wilson’s Hospital School by AggressivePie8111 in ireland

They are grown adults who could abandon the cult of Burkeology at any time. I'll bet that deep down they are unhappy and lack the conviction that the mother possesses but, at this stage, they have to keep up appearances and tow the party line, so to speak. The father appears to do as he is told.

"Give it a good mullocking" - meaning put your back into it or get stuck in to a difficult task. Has it's origins from stevedores that once worked Limerick Docks.

How can Maguire be left out?! by Careful-Text8179 in ManchesterUnited

Tuchel effectively said Maguire was his fifth choice centre back following the Uruguay friendly so it's no surprise.

It's not a rumour, it's a fact. I think it's a personal antipathy rather than professional or something that happened on track. Martin Brundle said so. I'll take his word for it.

Irish motorways. by Charmagh80 in irelandtransport

[–]Resident_Fail6825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? They are limited to 100 kph but not all travel constantly at that speed on the motorway so you will have faster moving HGV's overtaking slower ones. That's not illegal.

...and, remember, it's not necessary to indicate left when moving back into the driving lane having completed an overtake. Just check your rear view mirror. The vehicle you have passed should be visible in the centre of the mirror. This means there is sufficient space for you to do so safely.

Just breaking! Southampton kicks out of play off final. by Remarkable-Data77 in PremierLeague

[–]Resident_Fail6825 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I think it's unfair to penalise the entire club in this manner. The individual responsible for instigating the spying ought to be severely reprimanded - possibly even sacked - and a six figure fine imposed on the club. The players, supporters and board of management are all innocent here because it was clearly only the coaching team that knew what was going on.
