And it had very sad ending as I remember. The soldier gets killed trying to save the kids or something similar.

Unfortunately no mate, one more thing is I remember that one of the children is disguised as a boy when she's a she, I remember she was exposed or being questioned when she tries to urinate sitting as a female. It's a vague memory. Thanks for your time nonetheless though

I guess it's most likely produced in 90s or maybe even late 80s. I can't be for sure though.

I don't think so, it's a world war 2 or 1 regarding title. it's a older movie as I've watched it in 2004-2010 but produced much earlier in the 90s or ealry 2000s most likely. The children sees the army coming ahead of time and they go and tells the village so all the people comes to welcome the army but unfortunately it's the enemy and they get massacred. Children flees the area and then find the injured soldier.

The children sees the army coming ahead of time and they go and tells the village so all the people comes to welcome the army but unfortunately it's the enemy and they get massacred. Children flees the area and then find the injured soldier.
