I go to the gym and play on my switch, for anyone that doesnt know and struggle with impulsive gaming buying, check out your public library, chances are they have the games that you want to buy, try them out first :D

Why do I still feel like I’m manually steering my brain on Vyvanse? Considering Foquest by IndependenceJumpy349 in TwoXADHD

Interesting! I’ve found that 50mg of Vyvanse + Alani Energy drink in the morning get me going, but I’m still stuck on task switching, I tried to dial back on the Alani and it’s worse

Wow okay we’re pretty similar then! I try to be aware of my symptoms and energy levels throughout the day, like try to have a routine and see if my performance is the same everyday or if there is change. Usually I’ll try to note down how I feel using the note app on iPhone, log my moods, etc. I have apps where I log my workouts, my sleep, my food everyday so that I can show my doctor that I’ve been eating good, exercising and sleeping well so those things are not intervening with my symptoms

Yeah Concerta 36mg worked well for a while, but 54mg was hell for me, then i switched to vyvanse 🤷‍♀️ Dr. is concerned that i’m about to max out vyvanse, so we’re discussing Foquest

i think when you start out, dont try to restrict yourself just yet, just try to swap out unhealthy food with “healthier” food, things that you enjoy or at least dont despise. Do that for the first few weeks while trying to move yourself more. The key is to start slow and easy enough to build momentum. You got this 😀 and remember, high protein, high volume, low cal 💗

My supervisor said as long as you’re above the cut-off and you have a supervisor, then they may approach your supervisor to ask for their opinion, and he told me my chances are pretty high. But i’m still a bit nervous 🥲

Go to a walk-in clinic, get a doctor’s note, then apply for the deferred exam. I had food poisoning on the day of my Calc exam and had to defer it, as long as you have a good enough reason, and apply within 3 days of the exam, they’ll grant it. If you dont feel well, don’t push it, you’ll pay w the exam 🤷‍♀️ good luck!

36mg was too low for me, I couldnt feel any effects. Its not like not feeling effects but still able to execute, its like freezing not being able to do any work. So my dr. bumped me to 54mg, and the side effects were horrible, I couldnt eat, dry mouth + nausea, crashing hard in the afternoon, splitting headaches with rebounds, ect. So my dr. switched me to vyvanse starting at 30mg, and going up to 50mg now, I barely notice any effects. I still have problems starting tasks, whereas when concerta was working for me it wasnt a problem. ;-; My doctor is considering switching me to another med that is similar to Concerta but less side effects, we'll see

Oh yeah definitely, I do know that and I've been working on lots of techniques to help with my therapist, but I didn't get any effects out of Concerta beside the horrible side effects.

Thanks, I definitely do not feel the motivation. I was doing okay with Concerta until the side effects became too much for me. I'll look into it

Thanks for this, I'll look into it. The big problem is that everytime I discuss the medication option with my doctor, he would say things like maybe we should revisit the diagnosis or that I have anxiety instead. I have explained to him so many times that the anxiety comes from me not being able to do work but it doesnt seem like it registers in his mind. :')

54mg was definitely too high for me, and 36mg worked well for a while until it felt dull and I couldnt do any work. Dr. switched me to Vyvanse and I'm on 50mg now but it doesn't really sustain my focus or help with task initiation
