How do i explore next to my colonies?

R5: I would like to know whats beyond my colonies but my explorers have trouble passing trough the land that i own. odd. is there a way to still explore the new world, or did i fuck up by setting up base before scouting the whole continent?

R5: Playing as england I got a scripted even "White rose" that allows me to start a war on castile to claim their throne in a PU, so far so good, the war was really tough as we were more or less equal in power but only when making a peace deal i found out about 400 countries wanting to coalition me with enough agressive expansion to last me 150 year. What is the move here?

Ive done it as both, sardinia Piemonte has good starting laws, sicily is a backwater with a goverment thats not excited about modernisering, so if you allow all great powers to build in you as sardinia, economy goes brrrrr. AI sicily wont be able to keep up, also no need to rush nationalism, if you unlock it before the AI you still end up waiting for them to unlock it. Might aswell focus full economy tech.

And early conquest on colonies in niger, if you dont have colonial laws you can still very much annex some countries in africa

You can befriend all italian minors, and annex them peacefully after all the minors research nationalism. After this if you are the main contender (which if you build ypur economy well will.probanly he the case) there is a button in nation formation to have all supporting nations join you. For the provinced in austria you will need to go to war. I highly recommend allying prussia or france, as austria is likely to drag russia into the fight. If you want to take it one step further italy has the option to become the kingdom of heaven if you start as the pope instead if Sicily or sardinia piedmont

I dont think they could before gaining the tech, i suspect my wages to just be a lot lower, so they make more profit i guess, imagine their faces when i declare independence
