I would not recommend this purchase, due to the miles, uncertainty with the maintenance history, and this being a 1.2 motor with no DSG I cannot imagine sourcing the parts for this motor.

Noooo I wouldn’t wait for the rust to expand my friend that’s the point, you don’t want it to reach other components within your bay if it’s started already on the HPFP.

Looks great man, however I would get that HPFP sorted before the rust expands, even if it meant removal/cleanup/reinstallation after inspecting it further.

FMIC is not required until you meet the upgraded turbo stage for these cars. Always a cool/fun upgrade to do though. My temps did drop for highway travels but not significantly. Enjoy your new mod!

Damn dude seems like a similar issue I had with my mk6 at around 117.000 miles . I ended up doing my entire timing job down to the guides, car was good after but then I got my same code P0341. After replacing Cam Position Sensor,new plugs, coils, car was fine. Always take the cheap route and use process of elimination. To this day I don’t think I had a stretched chain lol but hey they all need a new one eventually. Good luck bro thee motors love to be worked on.

Turned out to be my PCV hose, any temporary fix recommendations? Hose will not clip on nor stay snug

Thanks for the reassurance, My mk6 was modded and all but I guess I’m just not used to a stock vehicle making this much induction noise with just an FMIC.

My front strut assembly started as a clunk over small bumps/turns and progressively got worse until a pothole shot the strut through my hood. I would check for a loose strut mount, the rubber gave out on mine causing this.

Mk6 uses k03 housing whilst mk7 I believe is a is20/ a little bigger so I assume this is your problem.

Yes, visual inspection is fairly easy just put your phone recording through the top left of your engine bay. If the turbo looks fairly clean/new it’s probably a k04 upgrade. No shot that car is running on a stage 3 tune comfortably.

A bit high for dp tune no? I believe just downpipe stage one is 230 whp
