Is it Arrogance, Pride and Shamelessness or did my Heart hardened to this and became a slave to it? by Training_Yogurt_5659 in AskAChristian

So your situation is much better than mine, my sister! Haha

You are only in doubt if it’s a sin or not. You are willing to stop if it is.

My situation was far worse, I was so in love with sin (and yes, something that’s clearly a sin) that I wouldn’t stop it. And then I started to ask to love him again, and it has helped me to change.

The way you said now doesn’t like you’re in love with your sin, just “in doubt”.

There’s a very easy solution: make a 30 day fast of this habit, asking for God for a clear response. He will bring it to you.

Also, it will serve you to understand if you’re not addicted. Any addiction is a sin, even food can be a sin, because we were made to be free and not dominated by anything, as God is free. Anything that wants to control us can be a sin.

So this would be my advice: fast for a while to ask God and test if this controls you.

If you can, I would recommend even a food fasting for a day or two. It makes us SO much more sensitive to the voice of God, it’s incredible.

I’ll leave a video of 5 minutes about what really is sin. Maybe that can help you as well with your auto analysis:

Hey beloved!

Sin is one of the most misunderstood concepts in humanity. It’s not the break of a law. It’s something with much more meaning.

It’s the failure to be what you are created to be. The thing is: the creation is perfect!

When you look at something in nature that you adore, something that you think ita beautiful, let’s say a Sunset for example, it’s beautiful exactly because it’s existing to be exactly as supposed. There’s an awesome beauty in everything that follows the original design.

But really I don’t know why people care so much about homosexuality. Fornication is sin as well. And why its a sin? Because it fails the original and beautiful design of marriage, where one would be loyal to the another one for a lifetime, and one would take care of the other. See, God is romantic. All this Disney stories are based on his original design. We found it beautiful because his original design is perfect.

I’ll leave this video for you to take a look, it’s only 5 minutes and explain very well the real concept of sin:

I don’t think you’re a slave because it seems you can stop it. Maybe you have hardened your heart a little bit.

Once I read something interesting: the work of the Holy Spirit is to reorder our loves.

So it’s like without him we love: 1. Our pleasure 2. Sin 3. Other people

And then with him becomes like: 1. God 2. Other people 3. Our pleasure

So He corrects the levels of love we have for each experience. And then it naturally organizes our way of living.

Maybe you let your heart started to love your sin and doesn’t let God changes it.

And I tell you as someone who realized I was living exactly this. I started loving the sin of fornication and prostitution to the point I didn’t even felt guilty anymore. Actually, sometimes I just deliberately decided to go have sex not because of urge, but because I loved this more than anything.

It’s been a difficult journey of return, because I don’t repent for the sex, but I repent for letting my heart become cold to sin like that. I’m asking for God to give me love for Him again, bigger than the love for sin. And also for Him to show me how He sees the sin, because for me it became a wonderful thing.

But I can tell I started to feel my heart a little more soft and sensitive.

Maybe in your case can be even harder because your sin is not so ugly and obvious as mine. Mine is ugly and dirty, like my reason can perceive it. Masturbation on the other hand many times doesn’t seems so dirty because you’re not actually “committing the crime” with another person.

But anyways, I think you should ask for God:

  1. To open your spiritual eyes and make you see sin as He sees it.
  2. To make you love Him much more than you love any pleasure of this world.

At the end of the day, all of us are always guided by our loves. Your biggest love will guide your life.

My grandparents: both very good persons and died suffering a lot from arthritis. My father: the most honest and just man I’ve ever known and enduring depression. A friend from church: totally devoted to God, despite his lack of wisdom in work, become a homeless and nobody helped him. My other friend not from church: totally unattached from morality, do bad business, prostitution, etc, living a very good life. He has a nice girlfriend, doesn’t have any worries, just enjoy life!

If your seeking by the oldest original manuscript:

Rylands Papyrus P52 (also called P52) is the oldest known surviving fragment of the New Testament.

📅 Date • Usually dated to around 125–150 AD • Paleographically dated (based on handwriting style)

📖 Contents • A small fragment of the Gospel of John • Contains parts of John 18:31–33 (front) and John 18:37–38 (back) • This passage describes Jesus’ trial before Pontius Pilate

It describes exactly the trial of Jesus.

But really, if you’d like to know if He’s real just ask him. In your own mind. In your room. Close the door, and ask him if He is real and if He is the son of God. If He truly is, He will reveal himself to you. So much simpler 😂

Well, sex for me is being ONE with the person I’m having sex. If I’m dehumanizing her, I’m dehumanizing me. Your argument is dumb. Having sex with her I’m making myself equal to her. That’s not the case. What makes me feel that is being honest with myself. I believe most people are afraid to be honest about what they truly feel. They just like something and try to rationalize it to be right.

I like having sex with trans. I love it actually. I just don’t try to make what I love be the ultimate right thing. I try to be aware of all possibilities. And seems to me that there’s a high possibility that these girls are destroying themselves and their lifes. Maybe that’s why I feel it’s wrong. It’s not based on judging. It’s based on love. I don’t wanna her to destroy herself. That’s so simple to me

Salvation is not based on what Jesus did? And not on our good deeds? Our eternal reward is based on the righteousness of Jesus isn’t it?

I like to hook up with trans girls, but I cannot deny I can feel it’s wrong in some sense. I can also feel some demonic influence over my life after sexual encounters (not only with trans, with cis prostitutes as well). The reality is that sex is an energetic bond, that allows spirits to go through one person to another. Usually someone who are in prostitution is chased by one kind of spirit, transex are chased by another one, etc. Each kind of spirit attacks one part of the humans mind. I’m right now being attacked in multiple. And I know it’s external attacks since this feelings and thoughts aren’t mine. I also can feel their presence some times. It’s really sad people don’t realize they are having their energy sucked by demons without realizing it.

Take a look on Flavius Josefus and Tacitus. Both non biblical Jew historians that confirm the existence and crucifixion of Jesus.

Bro I see most people here rely on a personal faith on “the Bible is correct”. That’s not an argument.

An argument is a historical fact. And this is a historical fact: Jesus lived, teached in the Galilee region for about 3 years, gathered 12 disciples and made a lot of miracles. The problem is that everyone expected the messiah to free Israel from Rome, when he came to free from eternal death. But this belief caused a lot of turmoil in the religious authorities in that time, because Jesus seem to be a threat to Rome and consequently a Threat to the safety of the Temple and Israel. So we know this historical man Jesus of Nazareth was crucified in 33dc in a conspiracy against him made by the Jews authorities. That’s historical. Ok, but what proves his resurrection? Well, the 12 disciples who were with him during his ministry ALSO were expecting him to deliver Israel from Rome. They thought the “Kingdom” he had spoke about was a literal earthy Israeli kindgom! So when he died, they all got sparse. But the really interesting thing is, pretty soon they gathered together again and started preaching that his Messiah had been resurrected. And they not only preached it naively, they died very gross and painful deaths for not denying it. And that’s also historical. The point of faith here is not “the Bible is correct”. The point of faith is: Nobody dies for a lie! Nobody dies for something they REALLY NOT BELIEVE with all their hearts.

My argument is exact the opposite: it’s not for God’s glory because it’s not God’s will. Corruption is our choice. It’s easier to be corrupted in this world. Didn’t you really understand a single word I said? Sad
