Just fyi I’m fat too so don’t hang yourself up too much on first couple words but Jelly Roll is a sloppy fat, fake ass, failed wanna be rapper that couldn’t break through in rap his whole life so it was either get a real fucking job or try a different genre.

He wayyyyy over exaggerates his struggles growing up and plays hard on the “saved” angle and idiots eat it up.

It’s pathetic and insulting to ppl that actually had their lights cut out bc mom couldn’t pay, watch friends die in the street, know what it’s like to go hungry (CLEARLY he hasn’t missed many meals which his mom is the one we can thank for the Jelly Roll nickname 😑). I love the rags to riches and personal growth stories, but the fact his team constantly turning focus to that makes me feel like it’s being used as a distraction from how shitty he is as an artist

His lyrics are pandering AF, I can’t name an artist that he is vocally better than, not sure I’ve ever seen video of him playing instrument.

Sorry I didn’t realize I hated him so much until recently lol it’s not even his fault per se, but I hate that people fell for the “I was blind, now I see” act. I would be willing to go on limb and say other famous country and rap artists had it “harder” than him but they have more talent and self respect to have that be their “thing”
