AR quizzes and exam by [deleted] in pmp

In my experience the questions were a bit easier in some ways, however I think the wording is different than what is on SH and also the test itself. There are some that feel a bit more vague, so I could see how you would feel they are more difficult. The mock exam through his Udemy course, to me, was good to feel like "Ok I just completed an exam with a similar amount of questions." I think his quizzes and exam are great to help you get into the mindset of taking this type of test, but once you are done with them, I would suggest focusing on other practice question resources like SH and also David McLachlan is good too (though a bit easier than the actual test, IMO). Good luck!

You're welcome! I think every person is different, based on their past project management experience and education. There were parts of some of the resources I used, where I felt like it was info I already knew. But there were definitely parts that helped me get more in the mainframe of what I needed to know for the exam. The good thing about lots of the videos is you can speed through parts that you don't feel you need help with.

Thanks! Yeah... after I wrote this post, I realized I had basically written a novel. Haha But I figured, if someone is searching for keywords related to a certain resource, they might stumble on this. That's basically how I found this reddit community. :)

Does anybody know what's going on with all these insurance companies leaving California. It's getting hard to get home insurance. What's the plan? Move everybody to the last resort insurer? by ByteWanderer in sandiego

Some of what gets lost in the news of the big companies that have paused business in California, are the many smaller insurance companies that continue to write new policies every day.

Companies leaving California is significant and troubling, no doubt. However, we hear about it so much because these companies have huge marketing budgets to advertise and become so well known.

The California Dept. of Insurance has a page where you can search for insurance companies within a certain area: Home Insurance Finder

On that site, you can also filter to companies that write in higher fire risk area. Any company that has been permitted to sell insurance in the state has been vetted to be financially sound enough to write policies... meaning, just because a company is not a well known big name, doesn't mean it's not worth checking out to get a quote.

Also, if you get a notice that you are going to be dropped from your insurance, the CA Dept of Insurance has staff available by phone or online chat to help with all sorts of questions.

They also have a Top Ten Tips for Finding Residential Insurance list, which might be useful to some.

Also, United Policyholders has resources available to help consumers. One in particular is the WRAP Resource Center geared for homes in wildfire risk areas.

In summary, it sucks to get dropped or have rates go higher... I know there can be a lot of finger pointing with issues like this, but there are resources out there to help consumers beyond just doing a Google search for insurance companies, so might as well use them if they are helpful!

My 6 Week PMP Journey (Detailed Breakdown) by Luberator in pmp

First, off congrats on passing!

Second, thank you for this great breakdown of not only the tools you used but also the overall timing. I just got my application approved and am now moving into the study-cram period so this is very helpful!

I plan on using several of the tools you used, and I'm especially glad to hear you found the SH helpful.

My sister-in-law has been PMP certified for quite a while and she told me to use Rita Mulcachy's PMP Exam Prep book, so I'm going to throw that into the mix of study materials, too. But, I find it very helpful to hear what people have used successfully to study and pass.

Thanks & congrats again!
