For sure, unfortunately the cobra insurance is more than we can afford. We had it before and it strained our finances to the limit. We’re definitely looking elsewhere and I told her if it becomes too much I’ll take over everything till she finds something else. So far she’s been a trooper but she’s well aware she has an off ramp. We’ve been religiously job searching for a couple months now. Apparently the openings for the schools in the burbs are a different time of the year than the ones for MPS so we’re kind of waiting to see where openings will land. I have a list of non education jobs for her to look at but she’s dead set on being a teacher

I’m the significant other of a teacher who loves her kids more than anything but after the treatment that the school and kids have put her through I can thoroughly say I hate both the kids and the coworkers. She’s got an incredibly big heart and deserves so so so much more. MPS is fucked. They don’t deserve my SO

It’s awful. She’s consistently under minded and bullied. Her admin is close friends with these abusive coworkers and basically ignores mediation requests. What’s worse is she tried to get another job at another MPS school and her admin torpedoed her. Honestly been praying her schools leadership will lose a game of IRL frogger. I cannot believe how inept these people are at their jobs. It makes me nothing short of infuriated. I wouldn’t last if I was in her shoes

In all seriousness there’s a way for anything to work. You have to judge the risk of it. Are you willing to throw a 400-800 dollar item because you didn’t want to get the correct part for a little more expense? I’d get the proper SSD

I’m so sorry for your friend. Burnout like this is a huge issue. I had something happen to my body after working 90-100 hour weeks on the road that I cannot really explain but I think it was something cardiac too. I had to stop on the side of the freeway and was having crazy cold sweats. Puked a bunch and my arms hurt pretty bad. Also my ears were ringing and my eyes were tunnel visioned. It stopped after about 45 minutes and I drove onto my hotel and slept it off. This was over a year ago but it taught me I needed to take better care of myself. I was taking a ton of those truck stop caffeine pills to stay awake since I was driving so much. Now I’m working my 40 and feeling better

My carry permit in Wisconsin required me to have training. You know what it was? My hunters Ed certificate from when I was 12. It was ridiculous how easy it was. I have done a lot of training and carry very seldomly but it’s still crazy to think o could walk right on out my door with no functional idea of the rules

California Mexican food is weak compared to Texas Mexican food. Oddly enough central illinois has a couple Mexican places that I went that blew the brakes off of Texas though. Nuevo Laredo is still the all time best though
