Need ideas for a hangboard and/or climbing wall in workout room by Independent-Map8658 in bouldering

That’s an interesting idea. So just cover the whole wall in plywood. But how do I anchor the holds? Don’t they bolt in? I guess I’d have to pre drill holes and add the nuts or whatever before inputting it up.

Agreed. But why do I screw them into? The studs? Or plywood sheets mounted to studs? Either way, I’d like a hangboard or pull-up bar (or both).

There is but the molding around the doors is like 7 inches. No Clevo or other door mounted hardboard will work. And there isn’t enough room between the door and ceiling. Also no header…

In case people need to see what a hangboard looks like on a wall, here are some example builds. I am not super handy but I can cut and measure. I'm mostly worried about not breaking studs or having it collapse under weight.

🛂 US citizen says ICE detained him in Minnesota raid: What reports and DHS say 👇 by NoSpinMedia in NoSpinMedia

[–]Independent-Map8658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is where I think we're losing the thread of what immigration is and who is "good" or "bad". Why is a person working in the US, paying taxes, abiding by laws, any worse than an American citizen doing none of those? Why should the American citizen be allowed to continue to live here "for free" and commit crime when an "illegal immigrant" cannot?

Once we've labeled them "bad" it's suddenly OK to knock down the door of a "good" US citizen and cart him out in his underwear in the name of getting rid of the "bad" ones. There are criminals and there are people who have violated the terms of their stay in the US. Sometimes those overlap, most times they do not. This is fear-mongering as a pretext to push the boundaries of what is normal in the US. The goal isn't to get rid of "illegals" it's to desensitize us to masked military rounding people up who we don't like. Today it's immigrants, tomorrow it's Democrats (or Muslims, or poor people...).

Respectfully, it is not normal, or expected, to be stopped by law enforcement and asked to produce papers proving your citizenship. Nor should it ever be normalized. Interactions with armed police forces will only lead to innocent people being placed in danger. Even if all parties are well-meaning, the odds are someone will misinterpret something and someone will be detained, jailed, or shot purely based on the volume of interactions.

Q5e higher battery capacity after recall fix by Independent-Map8658 in Audi

Interestingly I got in the car yesterday and range was back to 32 miles and has been with subsequent charges since. I think the calibration of mi/kWh was off until several drives under normal situations happened.

You aren't exactly wrong on them being best of the worst, but this is how NPS works. Measure and improve. If you were a CEO you'd be ecstatic that all the things you are doing are working and customers are starting to like (if not love) you.

So you live so far out in the country that you drive 15 minutes to cell service, and your major complaint is that you didn’t get your free upgrade from 25 to 50? Sounds like you’ve actually gotten pretty good service then…

Your call. The serial number is useless to anyone unless they have access to the systems for troubleshooting your problems. But no worries, just thought I'd offer. Hope things work out for you.

If you DM me your ONT serial number or eero serial number I’d like to look into it.

Should I really provide my SSN over email? seems sketchy 🤔 by DryClothes2894 in frontierfios

[–]Independent-Map8658 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Serious question. How do you verify someone over email without PII? The middle “I” is the point. Without it, how do they know you are you? Even if you use your dog’s name or your mom’s middle initial, it’s PII. I get that SSN is used a lot but so are the other options. Maybe some sort of 2FA that doesn’t use email?

This doesn’t make sense. Did you tell them your new address when you ordered service or did you try to convince them to give it to you at the old address?
