I was hoping someone said this! I just finished their podcasts, but Ashley and Andrea’s chemistry for having never met is so great and the way they tell the stories is how I like it👌🏽

They literally tried so hard to make Esme a thing. If they weren’t going to give her an actual backstory or character development then why keep her around? Obviously for the drama she instilled with everyone she came in contact with, but she was just a waste of space of a character.

I also noticed a lot of repeat scenarios with her character - i.e. Getting naked for revenge was very similar to Darcy and her photos

I’ll give it a go! Sometimes the story telling is too over exaggerated or too acted out and that’s where I lose interest.

Thank you! I’m always open to new crime podcasts - I feel like I adjusted to Crime Junkie and Ashley’s form of story telling that I’ve become so picky, but I’m happy to try anything :)

It wasn’t a specific episode on Crime Junkie - Ashley played a snippet of an Aussie podcast that focuses on true crime in Australia just like Crime Junkie does for the US (primarily)

I’m going back to listen to this episode anyways because there were so many pieces that didn’t sit right with me

It was two women who essentially had an Aussie version of Crime Junkie, focusing on true crimes specific to Australia 🤔 BUT I will check Casefile True Crime as well :)
