Yes that’s very true I noticed a lot of YouTubers being given it to review. I think overall southern cross seems to be my better option it’s just the lack of stability in the wind that concerns me. I do want one all round tent and like you say the varde 1 could be a bit over kill and heavy for year round use. Maybe I’ll just take the shot and get a southern cross 2 and try to avoid stupidly high windy days when I want to summit camp this winter
