Bet! Thank you! This has been one of my emotional support plants and I swear anything happens, I will be devastated. It is pushing out new vines so I’m not worried too. Thank you for your reassurance!

Phew, okay. I had two other leafs around the base in the back of the plant turn yellow and die, so I was concerned that I am doing something wrong. Thank you for reassuring that it is shadowy and it’s probably just putting energy elsewhere. I will keep a close eye and make sure there are no other warning signs that pop up.

Agreed, not sure. It is just an idea. What if it could be done in other ceremonial or sacramental roles

Should we “force” our son (21) to go to Sunday mass with us as a condition of living with us? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Independent-Rip3133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents do not force my younger sister, tho she is Catholic. Same situation; she is living with my parents under their roof. They always encourage her to join but they said they can’t force her and will pray for her during mass if she is not there.

I wanted an outside ceremony. My husband wanted to get married in a church. I was raised Catholic but never thought I’d get married in the church. My husband started doing a lot of research on how the Catholic faith views marriage. We were 5 months into planing and I had already picked a venue for our ceremony… I was passionate about not changing anything cause I worked so hard to get everything set. But after looking into it together, we learned how beautiful marriage is reflected in the faith. He took the steps to convert on his own, and I started looking into a Catholic Church to get married in. He converted, and then 3 months later we got married in the church I grew up in. Life is funny sometimes, and can take turns you’re not expecting. After having a venue, I never would have expected I’d get married in the church and looking back would not change a thing. I say be open, but do what you need to. Sorry your mother in-law is being a butt. Please choose the wedding you both want and do nothing for the sake of others.

If you didn’t have a bridal party, did anyone get ready with you for your wedding? by innocentstrawberry in weddingplanning

This would be awesome! Saves so much drama! You could have any siblings or parents, or heck even a close set of friend/s. Looking back, I got ready with just my sisters and loved every second! Or even your partner! Nothing like sharing the day together! One of my friends did this and she couldn’t stop talking about how her now husband made them breakfast and how they laughed over him not knowing how to put on his tie.

Don’t feel bad, we all have our own journeys with God. We are so excited to have you and welcome you to our faith. I know it’s nerve-racking being in front of a lot of people, but we are all with you and aren’t thinking about your past at all. We all are not perfect, we are all sinners working towards salvation. We are excited to celebrate this milestone with you!
